Hey there ladies, sorry but it seems I was wrong...I had terrible pain two days before my cycle was due. I'm used to pain, but this was different, it was in the centre of my stomach running down from about my belly button all the way. Moving, using the lavatory, everything hurt terribly all day. Then I started spotting and that carried on for three days...on and off. So that was that, I'm not sure what it all meant but I think I need to just take time out from getting all hopeful.

I'm wondering, I've been off the pill for 4 months or so... my cycles have been so light. Maybe my hormones haven't stabilised yet, or could it be that I'm not ovulating? What can I do to figure this all out. I don't want to be trying and continually be dissapointed.

****some womene experience implantation spotting when they are pregnant******
If you think that maybe you are not ovulating, you can use Ovulation Predictor Strips which measure the LH surge one experiences 12-48 hours (typically) before ovulation occurs. Other than that, you can have ultrasounds every month to make sure that the follicles are growing and ovulating. You can also have your progesterone level checked at a certain point during your cycle to verify whether or not ovulation occurred.
I buy the LH strips from e-Bay, 50 strips for $18.99. They work fine.
