i know this is a little off track. As you know we are trying for a baby, the doc says that my tubes are open and my ovaries look good, he even showed me the little eggs, calling them children trying to get out! my question is this, i know it is common to have pain during intercoarse because of endo - and we all know how awful that is. But for the first time i have a slight cramping the morning after, i should be ovulating so i'm not sure if it could be that. its not painful, its more like uncomfortable or tweaking...any ideas...hope this isnt too much of a personal question for this board...but advice would be appreciated.

Hi, Lauren. Ovulation happens when an immature egg matures and forms a cyst. When the cyst bursts, ovulation occurs. Some women feel anywhere from nothing, to a slight pinching to severe cramping. Usually the most severe happens w/ PCOS, where the cysts just build up and build up and never rupture.
The most sure-fire method of detecting ovulation is with LH strips, better known as Ovulation Predictors. You can buy them very cheaply online in bulk off of e-bay, several other websites, or get one ovulation test for $1 at Dollar Tree (if you have those stores in your area).
You can also measure cervical mucus, cervix positioning and texture, and basal body temperature.
You can also do the saliva ovulation microscope.

I have cramping the next morning but it is due to the endo my doc found on my bladder. Here is her theory on my pain (pretty good actually)
When we have intercourse, the endo on my bladder gets mad ( i guess that means swollen) then when i go to bed, my bladder feels up ( you're bladder is the biggest in the morning, except if you hold in in all day) when i go to the bathroom in the morning it hurts and i have cramping for 1-2 hours.
I don't know if this is similar to you, but i hope it helps a little.

If you had sex and you were ovulating you could be having implantation cramping. When I had my implantation it wasn't painful but I could look back and say oh thats what that weird feeling was. I don't want to get your hopes up cause it could be lots of things. I don't have what you are describing, I did have it when I got pregnant but not any other time.

Thanks ladies, I have another question, I've been feeling really wierd lately. Nauseus I suppose, but yesterday and today I was bent over the sink on the point of throwing up...only reason I didn't really was because I had nothing in my stomach that early in the day. I start out coughing and it turns into retching, could this be an endo thing? I'm hoping that I am pregnant but I'm not wanting to be dissapointed. Just that vomiting doesnt normally include the coughing/retching does it? I am generally fine the rest of the day...just a touch queezy and not very hungry. Sorry I know this seems trivial, but I live on a farm way out of town and its great to have you out there...

I never had any vomitting with endometriosis alone. Have you missed your period yet? I don't want to get your hopes up either but I'm leaning toward pregnant, dry heaving is a very common symptom of early pregnancy. Keep us posted.

I've vomited only once from bad bad cramps with endo, and that was the bad period cramps. I was in so much pain that I became extremely dizzy and had to run out of the shower and into the toilets in the dorms to vomit! ...yah. I ran out naked--in the dormitory bathroom! I have passed out one time before, and I think the time I vomited was a close second. Yayyy! I hope you are pregnant, though! I'll keep my fingers crossed

Thanks ladies, feeling queezy again now. My cycle isnt due until Sunday, but I had cramps yest, and a discharge, thought my period had come early...but it wasnt. I want it so badly and at the same time I want it to be in God's timing and I have to trust that. Took HPT early but now I'm not sure about what I saw. I've got to let go and let God. Keep crossing fingers, if not this time maybe next month. Thats terrible ouchy abut the endo cramps being so terribly bad for you, and embarrasing about running out naked - the things endo makes us do! I thought I was being stupid posting about dry heaving. But as usual, there are great people like you guys out there with compassion and help...sorry I'm a little emotional lately...feel like crying...gonna go make some tea...

heyyy, lauren! if you see any line at all on a HPT, it is positive! Even the faintest of lines! fingers crossed! try w/ the first morning's urine, as it is the most concentrated! the line should get 2x's as dark each consecutive morning, until it matches the control line eeeeeeeeeeeeee! i hope it is a +! here are 2 great links on HPT's 1) www.peeonastick.com/hptfaq.html2) www.peeonastick.com/hpts.htmlthe website in general has lots of great HPT and OPK info and pics

Hey there ouchy! finally online when someone else is! its 7.20am for me...you? I did a second one the morning after and that line was so faint i think it was an evap line...it really wasnt there...so first one might have been second I dont think so, and the second one was FMU? So I sortof figure the first test may have been wrong or I was seeing things...I'm too scarred to try again, waiting to see if my period comes, although in my last pregnancy i kept bleeding through it, which is why I thought I had had a chemicle miscarriage very ealy, you can understand the horror when I misscarried at about three and a bit months...I'll go look at those websites - thank you...how do you know so much about everything...you said you studied pre med? you finished yet?

Hi, Lauren. I actually changed my major to Audiology (study of hearing and sound). However, I have always been fascinated with all things health and biology/science-related. I am always reading! It is a passion I have. Plus, when I was in 11th grade, we had an awesome biology class, and we even got to do electrophoresis (DNA gels), and that got me hooked on genetics. Before that, we had studied about the female reproductive cycle, and that is when I realized that I probably have either a pituitary problem or follicle stimulating problem (FSH). That is also when I learned about endometriosis in depth. Ever since then, I've been so fascinated. I guess maybe it started even sooner. I used to dissect bugs and frogs when I was little!

evap. lines usually happen after 10 min. FMU=first morning's urine.

Thats so interesting, I also have this facination with the body and how it functions, what affects it ext...thought I was morbid, or maybe a hypercondriac, therefore its so great to be able to be in touch with my body and ask questions without the fear of judgment.

When I got pregnant with my son I took 8 pregnancy tests over 4 days ( I really didn't want to be pregnant :lol). the first 4 or so only had a faint line, each time it got a little darker. I took one recently since my period is like 3 weeks late apparently due to IUD. anyway, there was a single thing in the positive line area, it just went right past it. I hope you are pregnant, but like you said if you're not its not in God's time. I can say my son was definetely in God's plan since there were so many reason's I shouldn't have gotten pregnant and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. Good look.
