Thank you all for posting these questions... there are some things i would've never thought to even ask. With my first lap on June 1st, i'm slowly getting a better grasp on this whole process.

I haven't read all the replies, but my biggest issue after the surgery....my belly button is completely altered! I used to have a cute little innie, now it's an ugly ugly outtie. So ask if your body will be altered!!

This thread has been so useful. Once I've got today's colonoscopy over with, I now have a LOT to ask my surgeon on Monday! Thank you ladies x

Remember to write the questions you want to ask down. I keep a notebook not just with this thread but with other tips the girls have found to help.

I usually randomly start a list a week before I have to see any doctor and when questions pop into my mind I quickly write them down. I can never remember them all in one sitting. Then I usually forget my list when I go to see my doctor. HAHA! Maybe keep it in your purse or something so that you don't forget like I do.

Thanks, ladies. I guess I'm prepared for my appointment on Monday now (swallows a bit nervously).

Just have all of of your questions written down/printed out/ on your phone so you don't forget them. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Oh no, Wendy! Will you post what happened over on your intro thread? Maybe we can help (or at least commiserate).
