Yah. Breakthrough is more likely w/ a POP (progestin only pill) bc there isn't added estrogen to it.

Yeah for me it was as much use a chocolate teapot cos it was while I was still having 2 week long flooding periods. It's not that new to be honest, there are newer and better pills available. Maybe your GP would be better at handling this cos you can go through a few different ones just trying and testing til you find what works. I've heard yasmin is ideal for endo, and I was on it til I was diagnosed, it was the best for me in terms of side effects xx

Yah. Breakthrough is more likely w/ a POP (progestin only pill) bc there isn't added estrogen to it. he reckons id be taking it back to back and would eventually stop my periods,i just dinnae have much faith in contraceptive pills, but i may not have much or any endo left after laser, just minute deposits.

In my experience using the pill to stop periods is not a good idea, cos you have to have a withdrawal bleed eventually, and it is absolutely hellish when it comes. Yasmin is another pill, I know in the UK at least it is used as a pill of choice by gynaes for endo sufferers, maybe ask him what he thinks of that xx

I'm the same about the coil, cos I've heard bad thing that compounded my doubts. That's why I'm going back on the pill, its easier to control xx

I still had breakthrough and endo pain w/ Yasmin. Everyone is different, though.

Does Cerazette cause depression? I have been given the possibility of trying Cerazette at some point in the future (since it apparently stops ovulation). However, I have a history of severe clinical depression and have managed to kick it into touch. There's no way I can face that again.

I tried Cerazette for four months and it made me a moody c*w. I had just got together with my boyf (this was 2 years ago) and really wanted this to work, but it was horrible. Tears, grumpiness, everything. And I ate loads! I hated it, but everyones experiences are different I think

Minnie, sorry to hear Cerazette isn't working out for you.
Have any of you ever had a Mirena, too (not at the same time as Cerazette, obviously)? I didn't have a pleasant experience with Mirena, and if other have found that Mirena wasn't great and Cerazette was as bad or worse (or perhaps Cerazette was an improvement on the Mirena?), then that would be good to know.
