In what I was posting yesterday I wasn't trying to make it seem as though anyone had pointed any fingers or did any badmouthing because that is certainly not the case. I am over emotional and over sensitive to the general statements since I have been blamed many times in my life for using it as an excuse. Not for things such as car troubles, but for the lack of being able to do anything some days. I guess I just took offense because I never wanted to feel less strong than other in dealing with this, especially since I already feel that way with general society - nevermind women coping with the same things. I am sorry for being irrational but I can't help feeling this way.

Not a problem. I think you just misunderstood the thread.
No one ever made little of the pain endo causes or said anyone abuses using pain from endo as an excuse in general. I don't think anyone does that in the slightest. The pain from endo is real--no question about it!
It was just that cherry and I believe that endo doesn't cause all of the array of problems that women experience in addition to endo--such as ear aches, jaw problems, tooth pain, etc. That's all it was. We all know just how STRONG women with endo really are. That being said, I don't believe that it causes every single little problem we encounter on a daily basis--not saying it doesn't cause pain, again. I just don't think when I get a paper cut that the cut itself hurts me bc of the endo, etc. That's where the joke about the car not starting bc of endo came in.

If that's the thread you're referring to, then I have read it and I think ouchy's right, you just misinterpreted. I certainly never took anything anyone said to mean that people were using endometriosis as an excuse to stay home from work or skip out on cleaning or whatever. She only mentioned people blaming other health conditions on it. That's very different!

I dont think anyone on this forum would ever say that anyone on here uses endo to 'get out of' anything. We all know how hard it is, how bad the pain can be, how exhausting it can be, no one would ever think that.
We all experience that in our every day lives, u can be assured no one on here is thinking that.

ok I understand now that it is very different. Nevermind my misinterpretations... I'm sorry for bringing it up.

It's ok, we all misinterpret things sometimes. That's why I think, if you are ever hurt by something someone says, you should bring it up right away so they have the chance to clarify if you misunderstood (or to apologise if they were saying stupid things during a particularly bad bout of PMS, which we also all probably do sometimes).

and I think that is exactly why I am so sensitive... an extreme bout of PMS. It sucks.

Thanks kb!! I really really needed that! My period isn't due for another week or so (I call it the red dragon), but every 3 or 4 months the PMS is pretty much unbearable. I am SO emotional!! I just wish I never showed that face on here... oh well. Today is another day, and I have a positive attitude in dealing with it today!
Thanks again for the hug! You succeeded in making me smile!
