I went to a new GP yesterday, and she suggested going to a physical therapist who specializes in pelvic pain. I had another gynocologist I stopped seeing suggest this too. I thought this gynocologist was actually awful. She didn't really listen to me, said that I should go to my therapist 2-3 times a week because there was nothing physically wrong with me. She didn't even entertain the idea that I could have endometriosis and got really frustrated with me when I cried in her office. After months of physical pain and bleeding, to be told that it's normal, there's nothing else to do but switch birth controls again and maybe get your head sorted out crazy was just too much, and I broke and stopped listening to her. She's clearly a doctor who needs to get people in and out of the door and had no patience for someone like me. I thought she was suggesting it to just shut me up. But now that I have a GP who seems to agree with my new gyno, that I probably have endometriosis but haven't been diagnosed, I'm giving the idea of physical therapy another chance. Has anyone else gone to a physical therapist? Of course the challenge is going to be insurance coverage, but if it's worth it, I'll give it a shot.

PT was one of the top three things I did to manage my constant pain - along with diet and balancing hormones. Check this out for more info. You don't want to go to just any PT...
