Just popping in for the latest update. I have been having blood in my stool during my period since September to the present, some changes in bowel habits. Last month I had a colonoscopy that was a complete debacle! There was a scheduling error with the office so the GI was supposed to do the procedure was actually on a plane to Florida that day. They managed to get me (and the 4 other unfortunates) who showed up in with another doctor, but I was there for 7 hrs! Sheesh!
Anyway, I also had to call many times for the path results. Long story short there is an inflammatory lesion right at my anastomosis from my resection. The path was negative for endo but that does not necessarily rule out endo since they did not take the whole lesion. I met with my specialist and will be seeing a colorectal surgeon to see if they will remove this in another colonoscopy to avoid an abdominal surgery at this time. My thought several months ago was that it could have been endo trapped at the bowel connection from my first surgery, if so I would debate another resection. If we can get the entire thing out and send to pathology I'm hopeful we will know yes or no and go from there. So TTC is on hold for now, just playing the waiting game between appointments and procedures.

I don't believe this is the correct place to post a bowel post but I wanted to share my experience. Semi, as with you, I've had blood in my stools for about seven years now. I sampled my stools for three days in a row (just as my period was starting, luckily), they tested positive for blood. For a couple years before that, my doctors kept telling me that I was probably wiping front to back and that's where it was coming from. Anyway, I was scheduled for a colonoscopy and nothing was found. So, once again, the doctors think that it's all in my head. Still have the blood in stools and it is soooo friggin painful when that happens (the pain makes me vomit stomach acid if there's nothing left in my stomach) even though the bloody "mucous" is only about my thumb fingernail size, it causes soo much pain. Sorry, I really need to post my "where I'm at with my endo now" info in the correct place, I just need my post-op records with me when I do it. During my second lap, I asked the surgeon to check to see if my bowel would need to be resectioned, he said he didn't see any need. So much for trying to get relief. Semi, I'm sorry for what you're going through and sympathize with you, I hope you can get answers.

Hello, y'all! I recently visited with my doctor and she said that the increased pain I had probably meant my endo was spreading. My husband and I were planning on waiting until we'd been married a year to try to conceive. We've been married 6 months. The doctor said she'd go ahead and start trying and we are. I guess my question is just: did we make the right call? I didn't want to take the risk, but can 6 months really make the difference between being fertile and infertile? I suppose I'm just feeling a little unsure and wanted some advice. Blessings to y'all!
