Hi,
I can understand what you are talking about. I have 0 sex drive plus with the pain he cant come near me. I just make sure I tell him all the time how much I love him and thank him for understanding and if I can I will take care of him with nothing in return. I am lucky my husband understands and does not push but I still make sure he knows how much I love him. I even started writing him letters again after 16 years.

I'm so thankful for this thread...had no idea that estrogen dominance = low sex drive!?!?! I've have zero for a couple of years. My BF is partially understanding, but sometimes really holds it against me. I'm secretly grateful when he mentions the fact that his drive has waned too as he ages (48)...but in the next breath, he'll make a joke about never getting any. I tried maca for a few weeks, but it caused an endo inflammation, so it was a no go. Would luv luv luv any advice on how to put a little spring in my step!

If you are up to it, reserve a room at a hotel. Grab a bottle of Champagne and set the mood. Sometimes just being in a different setting helps.

Testosterone supplementation can do wonders! I found that addressing thyroid issues has started to help, too. There's hope! If you're able to correct the hormonal imbalance, your sex drive may have a fighting chance at a comeback!

Good advice, Kimmie, thanks! In fact, now that I think of it, we DID enjoy a little sexy time last month while on spring break in Las Vegas. ;D

It brings you to a different setting. Even if it's right down the block. Go before him and set up the room so he see's you went out of your way it shows you care. Maybe hit your local adult toy store and surprise him with a little something. Change it up a bit.

Wow, thanks Karen, so helpful. Any advice on the best type of doc for this? I feel silly asking, but is there such a thing as supplementing testosterone naturally? Off to do my research...!

It's a bit tricky to find a good doc because most won't consider it, or if they do, only for post-menopausal women. If you have a local compounding pharmacy, they often have names of doctors that prescribe to them - might be a good starting place! As for supplementing testosterone naturally, I wouldn't recommend it. You could have too much, or you could have enough but it's a different hormonal imbalance causing it. Best to get them all tested first! Having too much testosterone is not fun... you grow more hair.

Well poo, I read on the Sensible Health website (which has become my go-to lately) that evening primrose is on the estrogenic herbs list. Here's a quote “My suggestion for women with hormone imbalance is to avoid herbs which have estrogenic activities such as Don Quei, Licorice, Ginseng, Royal Jelly, fennel, hops, anise, clover, flax seed oil and evening primrose oil even though they may make you feel better initially. Estrogen-containing foods such as alfalfa, chick pea, carrot (or beta carotene) can be taken occasionally but not on a regular basis.”

For those who are BC, have you talked to your doc about trying different kinds? Some affect sex drive less, some it can be individual. I am seeing my endo doc tomorrow and am planning on asking him about this since I may go back on if we stop TTC. I had no sex drive when I was on before and want to avoid it again if possible!!

Talk about no sex drive, I haven't been able to do anything since January. i am in sooo much pain I don't even want to think about it. I take care of my husband but he is not allowed to touch me. I keep telling him that when I feel better if my sex drive comes back the way it was he is going to end up in the hospital for dehydration ( LOL ). Kind of a personal question I hope you don't mind me asking but how long after surgery were you all able to enjoy your husbands or significant others again. I miss him.
