So I had a crappy day yesterday with pain and was kind of down. But I thought about this summer when i decided to bandit "run" up a mountain (it was the last leg of a crazy triathlon my sister was doing; bandit refers to not being registered for the race, and I say "run" because it is more of a very fast walk/torturous slog). It was a few weeks after my small bowel obstruction and a few weeks before my 1st lap, and I just wanted to prove I could do it. It was one of the most horrible and awesome things I have done- and I am still so proud! On the way to the race, my husband played me this song to get pumped, My Body by Young the Giant. It helped get my as$ up that mountain, and it makes me think about not being limited by endo. Check it (might be an add before it plays): www.mtv.com/videos/young-the-giant/620404/my-body.jhtmlI was thinking about how it is important to think about the times when we were/are proud of ourselves and our bodies. I want more!! Deb

Love that song! I don't think I ever listened to the lyrics until now, though. Gave me chills! Glad it gave you some inspiration and a sense of accomplishment to make it up the hill!
