This weekend We had our annual family trip to Pensacola, Florida. Last year we went labor day weekend. Amazing what I was facing barely 11 months ago. Last trip was in bathroom every 20 min passing toiletful bowls of blood. Was in a lot of discomfort but still went through the trip. Only 3 days later pain was extreme. Had a bad colonscopy and ended in er. Near total colon blockage. Got officially diagnosed with stage 4 Endometrosis. 13 days in hospital, emergency surgery, ostomy that lasted 8 and half months. This trip was different. No more ostomy and was feeling great. No more pain. Eat and drank like I want. Still fighting the side effects from Lupron depot. Mainly the hot flashes. Other than that, waiting for aunt flo to return now that I am off Lupron. Glad to have my health and life back,

This is good to hear that you're finally seeing the other side of things. If I could offer a bit of my thoughts and what I have learned from battling my own health problems ranging from endo, blood clots, to cancer, I say don't forget where you came from and what you have been through, but don't look back either. I have caught myself saying, "I have my old self back, " which I am coming to realize that it's completely incorrect. This isn't my old self, it's my new self, with new found wisdom and strength knowing that I have gone to hell and back. I think the same goes for you. You had an incredibly tough year and were faced with obstacles that, at one time, seemed impossible. And look at you now; living life again! Living life better than before. I am tempted to tell you to walk outside today with both middle fingers in the air saying f**k YOU I win! But instead, just smile and be thankful that you are strong, healthy, and happy.
