Two of us who work in the same building have had our uterus, cervix, and one ovary removed (I still have both ovaries) and both now have been diagnosed with endometriosis, yet again...
Anyone else out there with this problem.......

Endo where? On the ovaries? Did they do a lap to see this or assume? I ask b/c I had a hyst. 11/1/04 and have severe pain near my gallbladder that no one can figure out what is causing it b/c all test come back normal. So I am researching to see the possibilities of it being endo of the gallbladder...

I am in the process of getting a zillion tests done to find out exactly...CT scan...florocopy...ultrasounds, etc. But my doctor is pretty sure its endo. I will be going for a lap in June to clean me out again. If I had to guess on the pain, I would say it is all over my colon.

I had hysterectory done 7 years ago (removing of cervix, uterus) and endo is back with lots of adhesions, I'mnot impress with surgeries, it seems to be a waste of my time and lots of pain for nothing. I'm trying acupuction for pain, it helps a bit, I also do lots of streching, I try to eat organic as much as possible and take lots of herbs every day (vitex, estrosense, milk thisle, vit C, omaga 3 and primrose) lots of detox for the liver, they say it helps with Endo. Last weekend I was in bed for 2 days, could not move due to severe pain, very depress this week. thanks for sharing, it helps.

Did you have your ovaries removed also? I'm hoping that makes a difference. Thanks Lynette

Now I may be shooting in the dark here... But every month when the signals from our brain go to the ovaries..isn't that what makes the endometrium....start producing.... if you still have your ovaries... but have everything else removed... doesn't it stand to reason that if other parts of you have lesions... the signal is still sent so you are still doing the same as before...minus the reproductive system... if it's on your bladder for example... those lesions month after month are still getting the signal from the brain...the hormone... so I would say that if you get a hysterectomy... but don't remove the ovaries... it won't fix the problem.... maybe something worth talking to the doctor about... I have 2 ladies... that had everything removed because of endo....and have been pain free ... one for 10 years...the other for 20.... Any feedback is appreciated... since it's only a personal opinion...based on studying the sites about this disease...and the causes of it...

My doctor says it is the ovaries. He explained as my body sees my natural hormones as toxic and that is why it is happening. I don't want to have my ovaries removed yet as I'm only 31. But on Monday, Feb 6 I go in and get cleaned out again and then we'll have a better idea of what's going on.

I hope that I will be pain free, once I recover from surgery. I just had a total hysterectomy, had my ovaries and tubes removed, and cleaned out the endo. I am only 27, so it was a very difficult decision. I have 1 great kid and will be happy with that, as long as I remain pain free. Good luck on your surgery, TrialLadies. Lynette

Well yes ladies... as i suspected... I just did a follow up with my doc about endo... I actually had 2 conditions... one that my fallopian tubes were the size of golfballs because of a previous infection and I had endometriosis... including a chocolate cyst that is on my right ovary... He told me that in order to "get rid" of the endo... from coming month after month... I needed to get everything removed... and it was for the reasons I mentionned above... the signal from the brain to the ovaries... I am only 35 and in the process of starting work after a failed marriage... with 2 children so I am on marvelon 21... a birth control pill... but I do not stop taking it... I just started it... and am hoping that this will do for the next 2 years as I get settled again... and then I'll go in and have everything removed... and Lynette... my mom says... (as a previous endo survivor)... 'You will wait for the pain to come back... But it won't... and for the first time in your life... You'll be able to live again'... Best of luck to all of us... Living PAIN FREE...
Jane

Jane, sorry about the endo, cysts, and tubes. Thank you for the words of encouragement from your mother. I am glad to know that I will be able to go back to normal and hopefully, this won't come back again. When are you having surgery to remove the cysts? Good luck and thank you. Lynette
