Pretty, I am so sorry. The money part of surgeries is so crippling and so unfair. Sending hugs.

Dang it pretty. I want things to start to look up for you. Husband needs a swift kick in the behind. I know money can be ridiculously stressful, but you didn't ask for this. None of us woke up one morning and decided we wanted endo.
Big hugs lady and lots of warm thoughts. I hope you get everything figured out and you have some people taking good care of you when you have surgery.

Eeeek this one slipped through the net! Honey I'm glad things have picked up a bit. I think you just have to tune W out until you get this thing licked. I love what paint said about none of us choosing this. It's a godawful disease. Keep us posted! xx

OK now the only problems are logistics... Having accepted the change in date, found someone to go with me, and got the time off work now I'm just tring to work out the actual details.... AAARGH! I can fly to Seattle, rent a car, and drive me and my auntie to the appointment in Gig Harbor on the 4th at 4 pm, then go to a pharmacy, pick up my bowel prep, check into a hotel - in Tacoma? - and then hopefully find a grocery store and stock up on post-surgery food that is diet friendly. Auntie is too old to drive in a city so need all this done before hand. Then, surgery at 11:30 am on Friday in Tacoma. Hopefully can get rid of rental car the morning before surgery as no one will be able to drive it after, lol. hmmm. Then, have to spend a couple days recuperating in Tacoma in a hotel before possibly flying down to Portland to stay with a friend for a couple of days (which would be better than staying in a hotel in Tacoma all alone ) but waiting for the nurse to call me back and let me know if that's ok to do. Probably she will say no and ask that I stay around Gig Harbor in case I have issues I could see the doc there. But, I just don't know about that. If I went to PDX I would have someone to look after me. Yikes. OK After all that I still have to be back in Gig Harbor on the 15th at 4 for a follow up to let me go home. Then I could fly out that night. I guess I need to find a hotel that has shuttle service to the airport. God all this is so confusing, I'm tempted to just blow it all off!!!!! expensive, confusing, and lame.
I'm ok just tired and confused and sort of on edge. Love y'all. just trying to sort it all out. L

Oooh please don't fly anywhere so soon after surgery! It's dangerous! Glad you're getting things sorted. I wish I could come over and help out, no-one should have to go through this with the hassle of travelling and staying in hotels!

Pretty, these details sound so difficult. I feel so very fortunate to live in DC and not have to deal with all of this. I have so much respect for you. And I second what Hellsbells said. The lurching on a train could be difficult, but the dehydration and discomfort of a plane just sounds unbearable. I hope these last few details fall in place for you. Good luck!

it's gonna be fine. All in the name of pursuing ACTUAL HEALING not just a bandaid. Thanks everyone, don't worry you'll all be getting the blow-by-blow, TMI, too much pretty time, as per usual

I don't care HOW you travel, it seems like such a big deal so soon after surgery! I worry about you, but I know you'll have a good plan in place to make it all work. Can you do some of your shopping ahead of time and check your bags so you don't have to do as much shopping? Or will the hotel offer a shopping service? Or is there a grocery store around there that delivers? Or cabs instead of renting a car? Just throwing out some ideas. I can't imagine the logistics like that!

it's truly a freakin nightmare lol. But, it's a challenge too, and you KNOWS pretty LOVES her some NICE FAT CHALLENGES (with gravy, and fried potatos)
Doctor approved train travel but not plane. Auntie too old to drive on freeway lol. This is gonna be it, otherwise, it'll suck bad being in hotel alone with no friend to pity me.

Pretty, I did some googling and it looks like the safeways in Tacoma deliver. Here is the link to the Tacoma Safeways, and if you scroll down you get to ordering online: local.safeway.com/wa/tacoma-1437.html
