OH online classes area great idea! I can't do it for my classes but if you are doing a degree that offers that then that's a great option!

Also about the school loan/cost thing, there was a tax break that occured this year and last year that my husband and I were able to claim because I am a full-time student. It resulted in a $2500 credit toward taxes owed. And even though I am going to school completely on loans we still qualified for this tax credit. So currently I am taking out school loans AND getting a tax credit. It's called the American Opportunity Credit. Here are the qualifications: The full credit is available to individuals whose modified adjusted gross income is $80,000 or less, or $160,000 or less for married couples filing a joint return. The credit is phased out for taxpayers with incomes above these levels. These income limits are higher than under the existing Hope and Lifetime Learning Credits. Here's the link for more information: www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,id=205674,00.html There are ways around the cost! You can qualify for federal loans even with a high income AND you can get a tax credit!

I failed my bioanalytical chemistry exam that I took on Friday. I calculated my grade and it dropped me an entire letter grade from an A to a B. All that hard work for nothing. I just can't stop sobbing over this. I worked so hard. I wanted so desperately to prove to myself that I can do well in school despite all these health problems and this exam is just a huge slap in the face. I worked so hard and struggled so hard for that A. And one 50 minute exam ruined it all. An entire semester's worth of work. I could have slacked off all semester and gotten a B. So it just pisses me off that I worked this hard for a stupid B. I feel so broken. I feel like things are just falling apart. I work so damn hard. I thought I could do it all. The only way I can earn that A back is if I get 100% on the final. Sounds so damn impossible.

Jenaya, it probably won't make you feel any better, but I'm so stupid in sciences and things that betting a B sounds amazing to me. Truly amazing. The fact that you could have slacked off a whole semester and gotten a B in something as terrifying as bioanalytical chemistry shows how intelligent you are. And you've had quite a semester. Since this is so heartbreaking to you, is there anyway to ask the prof for a retake, given what you were going through the weeks prior to the test?
And about school in general, I think it would be hard to be 16 and trying to do an endo diet at college, when everyone else is both a little older and also eating all the crap that people do eat in college. Is your cycle regular enough that you can look ahead and see if your bad days are going to coincide with big things on the syllabi (exams/papers)? You might then want to use that counselor, and see if you can reschedule some of those for a few days forward or back. Depends on how flexible your profs are.

JJ, you are awesome and this semester has been ridiculously tough for you, I can't possibly imagine what you've been through. The fact you got up every day and went is brilliant. Love you

Thanks guys. Professors are not understanding unless you are near death. Something like a period won't matter to them. They won't care. And funny you mention my cycle and school. My final exams are falling right on PMS week and my period. I don't have bad periods though; I have really bad PMS. I'm like a completely different person. I know a B doesn't sound all that bad but I'm trying to bring my GPA up and I'm trying to go to medical school. It's so competitive and stressful. I'm also upset that I worked so hard all semester to have the grade I feel I earned and then have one exam ruin it all. I'm just bummed. I just want to shake off this feeling and move on. Ther's nothing I can do about it. Maybe I'll try for that 100% on the final? Lol. That'd be miraculous.
