Hi There,
I am 29 y/o A few months ago I had a Hycosy Ultrasound (after 2 years of trying to conceive without success) the report found two key issues firstly that my ovaries were immobile secondly that i have endometrioma's in both ovaries I am currently in a waiting list for a lap (in Australia this can take up to 12 months).
My question is that when they have "evidence of endometriomas" why do they need a laparoscopy to confirm that this is Endometriosis? Is it possible that with cysts in the ovaries and immobile ovaries that this is something else?
I guess I am just scared and am not really dealing very well with the wait for the lap!
Thanks

no honey. they jsut have to see it from inside so all they can do before the lap is guess. Probably it will be endo with the evidence so far. take your time and check out the rest of the site, I always reccomend the endo diet since it's helped me sooooo much.... but there are a lot of threads on all kinds of stuff. maybe post an intro and let us know more about you! I promise, there's lots of ladies in your same position, you're not alone. Hang in there, and welcome to the board!

Hey girl Sorry you're having such a hard time with this...I can't imagine how emotional it must be because I haven't tried for having a baby yet...but I know how hard it is to deal with the emotional affects of a chronic disease. And it totally sucks! But what a lap will do is confirm that it is indeed Endo (because doctors have been known to be wrong from time to time) and when they go in there, they might be able to straighten things out to give you a better chance of conceiving. Welcome to the board...I hope we can give you some help here...and at the very least, some encouragement and support. *hugs*

Thanks ladies. I can only wait for them to finally get inside me and see what is happening, meanwhile I am trying to be patient. I am so grateful for this forum, I finally feel like someone is listening or gives a hoot about what i am going through. Most people I can or have shared the details of my (potential) condition either disregard how badly my heart is broken when it comes to babies or they proceed to tell me how they had kids just by looking at each other. Thnx I really needed a hug

Patience is a virtue, or so they say. But its certainly not the easiest of them to cultivate. I would know! But this disease takes a lot of patience...seems like everything is entirely too slow when you see days of your life slipping by, one after another, and you just always feel like crap. I know for me, being 19, its like, "Best years of my life? Yea right." But we totally know how it feels to not have someone understand or seem to care, and really, its nearly impossible for anyone to understand unless they have gone through it themselves. That's why we're here! For most of the things out there as regards Endo treatment, at least one of us can say we've tried it and give support and advice.

well said shannon~ but yeah hoping, I feel you, but that's why we love this board, we all understand and somebody is always checking the board.... we know how we felt too before we knew what to do with our new diagnoses, and this board (I'm sure there are others too I just found this one and liked it instantly ) is just ladies with endo or waiting for a diagnosis. and it's such a tricky disease at first, so many strange treatments, so many opinions,... anyhow keep posting and let us know how you're doing. Have you thought about diet changes to help your pain?
