I would be raging too rhody it's easy to see why you lost it with the nurse over a pointless appointment. I'm so frustrated for you, having a serious case of wtfs over here right now!

GOOD FOR YOU FOR SPEAKING UP!!! I'd even take it one step further and get all that in writing and send it to the formal complaints department so HER boss knows about it, too... I'm glad you stuck up for yourself! Now go find yourself that second opinion, hun, and make it clear how disappointed you were with the first doc and that you won't accept the same from the new one!

Cherry, thanks for the support. I was so mad I just couldn't hold it in anymore. I did apologize to her after my rant because I wanted her to know that my frustration was obviously not directed towards her but since the Dr. doesn't call herself I had no other way to vent this without coming in. I probably wouldn't have called there ever again if she hadn't called me and that useless appt to give me birth control AT her office when I've been there 3 times in 2 months just didn't make any sense.
Thanks, Karen. I think I will send a complaint. I will also leave reviews for her on a few websites I've been using to look up some docs in the area. By the way, I also did sign up for the Endo Assn membership and received a response this morning with a few drs in Mass and CT. No one in RI, but I'm figuring I'll probably be branching out to Boston this time around anyway. It's only an hour. Thanks for the tip!!

Hi, just catching up on this! I'd be stinking mad too! As for the reviews...please be careful what you say, you don't want to be up for libel!

Thanks, Hellsbells. I'll be careful. I used to work for a law firm and have 2 attorneys in my family...we tread carefully on everything like that around here. I'm confident I can get my point across and state the facts without risking anything on my end. Besides, if she wants to start a lawsuit, two can play at that game. I'm not the litigious type, but I'm just sayin'.

I totally agree with what Karen said. Put it all out there with the new doctor and tell them exactly what your expectations are.

I'm sorry I'm just catching up on your thread. That doctor you had, what a big fvcking bitch. That really pisses me off. There are no words to explain how violated you feel when you put your absolute trust in someone to cut you open only to have them betray you. What a horrible heartless doctor. That's just absolutely appalling. And I totally agree about getting reports for EVERYTHING. Seriously sometimes doctors just choose not to tell you things on purpose. I don't understand that at all!!!!! WHYYY oh WHYYY do these people go to medical school?? It's all just a freakin pay check to them!

Don't be sorry! As the days go by, I get more mad over the entire ordeal. There is just absolutely no way there could have been even the slightest miscommunication. I made it abundantly clear and basically begged her to do whatever she could while she was in there, she assured me multiple times that she would. I never did hear back from her or her nurse. Surprise, surprise. But, I did get the bill in mail today.
I have no idea why people like this go to medical school. It really makes no sense to me.
I noticed that in my ultrasound report it says that I have a retroverted uterus, which I believe is also referred to as a tipped uterus. When I was pregnant, my OB/Gyn told me the same. However, in my surgery reported she described my uterus as being "anteverted"...so which is it? Everything is so inconsistent it's pissing me off more and more.

I have seriously considered hiding a voice recorder in my pocket when I go on doctor appointments. I haven't done it yet but geez! It's sad that I even have this thought!

I wonder if they'd be a lot more careful with their words if they KNEW they were being recorded! I mean, why not just put it out on the counter in between the two of you!

I don't see why you can't say because there are so many things that happen during my apt i need to record it so I can add everything in detail to my medical file - if they are on the up and up they shouldn't have anything to hide! I'm still pissed as the days go on about my chiropractor as well - douche is just using me for my money and hooking me on the promise that this will be corrected.....last time I checked, my forehead didn't have SUCKER across the front!
