It sounds infected, you poor thing I'm sorry if it sounds patronising but even without pain it sounds like you're having a terrible time. Can your doc just give you a broad spectrum antibiotic? I was given one just in case I had PID so I was wondering if your doc might do the same.

I hope it's something simple, I googled white pus in urine and I'm afraid of IC now. Intercystal something it's called -- no cure for it.

That sounds infected like Cherry said - the pain (I think this is right) when passing the urine is caused by pus (tiny white balls) leaving the body, which might be the white floaty things.

Just getting caught up on this one. When I saw a urologist, he performed a cystoscopy. Basically, they went into my bladder, injected a dye, and took x rays so they could see if my urinary system was filling and draining appropriately. If there's a blockage, that might be used to detect it. Let me tell you, it was far from a comfortable procedure, but necessary to know what was (or in my case, wasn't) going on.

well, I have a little positive news to report, I have peed 3x already on the toilet thru the afternoon. drinking alot of water. Seems like the pain I had near my bottom is like a 1 on the pain scale of 10 and now I can pee so it's somehow maybe related. I have been reading up on that Intercystal Cystis ( spelled wrong ) and those people seem to have urgency to pee and have had a past history of UTI's which I have maybe had 1 in my life. Maybe this is the endo hear my cul du sac and possibly on my bladder. I just don't know. I still want to be pregnant so even if I had the lap done I'm not willing to go back on the bc pill to treat it ( which worked wonders for me, no endo issues at all when on the pill ).

Also, the pain I have when peeing is not in my urethra area at all - it's more on the inside belly area but definately tied to the rectal pain IMO

On second thought maybe I should go back on the pill, forget this whole baby thing so I can have a normal life again. This past week has been hell and though I'm peeing again on the toilet I'm not sure if this is all worth it. Karen I was reading how you said you were using some progesterone cream - is this with the bc pills? I think if I go back on the pill I won't have to treat anything, no surgery at all IMO. I was doing so well on the pill, would take it continuous for 6 mths and then have a bleed and then do it all over again, sometimes I'd only make it 4 mths and then have spotting but hey, it's worth it compared to what I'm going thru right now. I will not do lupron. Am I wrong to think if I go back on the pill I will avoid any other problems like this IC which is "endo's evil twin" from what's on the internet. I had some bleeding during sex on the pill but that was towards the end - dr. said she could freeze my cervix which would correct that......I really want to save myself from all of these issues I've had all week long. This is not worth it - I can't even care for myself when I'm like this, how could I expect to care for a baby. We really want a baby but hubby agrees that my health is #1 and he won't be mad if we can't have a family.

Hi Everyone Good news to report. I saw the urologist this morning and before the apt I called my regular GP to see if the results from the urine sample on Friday were back so I had them fax them to the urology office. I have a bladder infection, the #'s were over 100,000 so at least I have an answer to my problem. He said that this would cause the rectal pain I am having as well so I just got home and took my first antibiotic. I am taking them for 7 days and then go back for a follow up apt. What really puzzles me thought is I had my period on sept 30th, the worst day was saturday the 2nd which was when I had this pain with urination and felt like I was going to throw up from peeing. I went to my gyno on wed oct 6th and they did a urine sample ( I drank a ton of water before so it was very clear looking ) and those results came back normal with a trace of blood. Then Friday I go and these results are full blown infection. I wonder if the lab did something wrong with the first sample since my symptoms haven't changed at all. I'm just very glad to have an answer. I also called my obgyn and want to see if clomid might be something I can try to get pregnant faster. I hope tomorrow I'll be feeling ok since I'm still in my window for ovulation I am going to see this fertility clininc here in chicago called oakbrook fertility who also specializes in endo and see what they have to say - I figure the more info I get the better. A co worker also had endo but had a full hysterectomy many many years ago and she said most women with endo don't make it to 50 yrs old with all of their ovaries still in place - I'm not sure if I'm buying that story - any truth to that? I think everyone is different and I think in drastic cases yes, people need to take extreme measures but for others, I think they live with it their entire reproductive life until menopause. I hope this antibiotic works quickly!!!

Phew, glad they were able to figure things out so quickly, and glad you were able to get treatment!
As for getting pregnant, there are some threads here about clomid. Although it's prescribed to help fertility, be warned that it can affect your cervical fluid, making it more difficult for sperm to actually survive long enough... Have you read TCOYF (see my signature line) yet?
And as for your coworker, if she had her hyster ages ago, that might have something to do with her information. Although a lot hasn't changed in endo research and education, it has changed some and women are becoming more and more informed about their options. Years ago, I suspect many women weren't given many options other than a hyster.

So glad you're sorted!! They are the worst things ever - I went to the docs yesterday as I always seem to have a very mild infection but then every so often it goes nuclear and I have to get antibiotics. As the pain eases you'll feel amazing after being in that much pain!! Yay!!!

Oh man what a relief. I'm so glad it's something easily treated. As far as the hysterectomy, it's funny because I have two aunts that had total hysterectomies from endo. My mom, for some reason, her endo resolved after having children. She just turned 50 this year and is going through menopause naturally, no hysterectomy, no drugs. I think times are a changin'! Good luck with the fertility! It's wonderful to be able to pass this obsticle!

I'm so glad as well - I was terrified over the weekend and googling this stuff doesn't help - you find the worst possible scenarios. I am going to pick up the book that Karen suggested, I see that author has a follow up book as well so I'll probably get both. I'd say I'm almost on the endo diet, don't eat red meat, no liquid dairy b/c lactose intolorant, don't like soy, I eat alot of fruits/veges anyways but not organic. I do like my tea, I guess I'll switch to decaf english breakfast - love that at night - I only eat chicken and salmon, no carbonated drinks, don't drink really maybe a glass of wine 1x every 3 months, don't smoke. I like chocolate and sugar, can't do the artificial sweetners because of my IBS and I just hate the taste of them so sugar would be really hard. Hopefully this next period coming at the end of the month won't be bad and if it is I have that tramadol to try out.
