Brain fog has been SO bad the last three days. I wish I could just feel normal again.

So I went to the hospital today for an appointment to try and hurry things along and have come away with a chemically induced menopause. I JUST WANT MY SCAN!!!! Sorry, I'm just all over the place at the moment. Was in tears today as was a shock but I've had the injection now so we'll see what happens. He told me that basically the lap waiting list is ridiculously long and I just have to wait. I'm tired of being tired and annoyed about this, I just want the scan and the lap. I'm going to look into moving hospitals as once I am on the lap waiting list it's going to be a 36 week wait as that is when the government actually intervene and 'force' the surgery. Blah, sh1tty day

Gem, you need to look into changing hospitals. I think I only waited around 12 weeks and I thought that was bad. Hugs x

Gem, that's AWFUL!!! Yes, please, switch docs! And I'm sorry about the meds. Fingers crossed it at least tides you over with few side effects.
And Jenaya, I can totally sympathize with you on the brain fog. Seriously, it sucks balls and I've never really found a good way out of it other than eating the best I can to take the edge off. I hope it passes soon and you get some clarity!! How are you sleeping?

Putting you on nasty-ass GnRHa without explaining what they were giving you or asking adequate questions is a big warning sign Gem. They haven't ascertained that you definitely have endo (not doubting you doll, just that's a big step to take with no proof) is so very unfair. They're stalling on the diagnosis and throwing what I think is a pretty harsh treatment at you. It's backward. Get on EPO or starflower oil to smooth it out a bit. First days are the worst and cause a flare, so take care ok. Why not the pill. Get out of that clinic/consultant's care. We're all behind you and I personally feel like coming down to Cardiff with that b*stard wood pigeon who hangs out on my roof, Benji, and taking a sh*t on your doctor's car bonnet. The wood pigeon would, not me. Him and all his woodland pals. Only kidding. No I'm not.

Very very very good points, Cherry! Kind of hard to treat someone when you don't know what it is...

I thought the car bonnet issue was very poignant myself.

I'm behind the car bonnet issue.
I'm going to go to my GP and see if I can get referred to Bristol - I know one of the hospials there is supposed to be good. I have also been speaking to my friend's dad who is an anethetist and he has been speaking to his specialist friend, so I am looking into perhaps going to Cornwall for treatment as the waiting lists on the NHS aren't too bad. I know there's an issue as I'm in Wales so I don't know if I can do 'choose and book' which you can in England.

Does anyone else have mid to upper back pain. I have had for a few months now, pain that is in my shoulders and down my back. It feels like I have a really achey back like I've been working in the garden bending etc, but of course I haven't! It's really distracting on top of my other pain. Just wondered if anyone else has anything similar and if it could be related to our endo? It's p1ssing me off as I don't want more pain!!!!

Aw man I hope that's not referred pain from your abdomen. I have upper back pain and I think it's caused by my GI issues. Gallbladder issues can cause back pain in the shoulder blade area and mid back. My back pain isn't that bad; like it's not bad enough to need to take something for it. But it's always there like a dull ache.

I didn't think it would be referred pain, although I do occassionally have an ache under my ribs, like today for example it basically feels like my upper body is bruised becasue of the aching. I can deal with it and I take ibuprofen most days anyway, it's just damn annoying!!

I was so sick yesterday. While on the way to Georgetown yesterday I started feeling a migraine coming on and by the time we got home it was full blown. I was really sick this time around. Then we had to go to our marriage counseling appointment at 8pm and I was literally puking into a trash bag on the way there. WTF? But the good news is that it is gone now and didn't turn out to be another 2-3 day long nightmare. But it just set me back yet another day in my studying for that exam on Monday! UGH! Now I have to get that biopsy tomorrow. Taking that exam is looking more and more like an impossible feat but I'm still gonna try!

I'm sorry, hun. There's nothing worse than knowing you have to study when you feel like sh*t.
