we just want you to have a chance to feel better. don't worry you are young, and you have LOTS of time, and in the long run, it's ok if you do your own research and learn along the way, and you WILL figure it all out, no rush, just want you to feel better. But everyone has thier own learning curve of health, don't worry, you're doing awesome so far!

Awwww pretty, you're so sweet. I'm still doing some reading on gluten/soy products but in the meantime I'm consciously trying to reduce the amount that I eat. I'll keep y'all updated on my progress!

Well, my period came 3 days late this time around. Apparently, each month my cycle is getting a day longer...kinda strange. The cramps this morning (first day) were just TERRIBLE! I almost had my Mom call 911! I hadn't had breakfast and couldn't eat anything because I felt so bad...and the naproxen must be taken with food so I decided to try to eat a banana but I wasn't able to keep it down. So I was left so suffer with off the chart pain for several hours before I fell asleep. Once I woke up, I felt a bit better and tried to eat a banana again...this time it stayed and I was able to take the naproxen. But it hasn't helped much all day...my pain is staying at like a 5-6 and I'm just trying to take it easy. This is SO difficult! I wish I could just make it all go away!

Aw Jessa, I'm so sorry. Have you tried a heating pad or hot pack? I always take a bath, sometimes 6 or 7 per day when I have major pain, that helps me alot. How about some applesauce? I don't feel much like eating either during my period so I just take some applesauce and the tramadol and hope that the pain goes away. I hope tonight is better for you! Sending you hugs!

Jessa hope you feel better soon. Try the applesauce as chicagogal mentioned use the sugar free kind or if you have energy try and make your own. Mashed potatoes may help too? I know its alot more work but so much better for your tummy to have the homemade stuff. I am thinking of you I hope the gluteen free diet works for you. It is alot of research and searching for the foods if you do not live in a town that has a health food or whole food store. I did it and when I get to eat again will continue with it. Hugs to you and sending good thoughts your way~

Thanks for all the tips, ladies. As you can see, I don't log on here that often. I just started college full time this week and now I'm worrying about what my next period will be. It isn't due for another 2wks. but I'm afraid I'll fall behind as soon as it comes. (sigh)

I second the baths and heating pad. Those are life savers for me. If you need any ideas for gluten free stuff or brands let me know. I've been sticking to it pretty well and it's not as bad as I anticipated. I still eat dairy pretty occasionally, but I don't feel any ill effects from it like I do when I eat gluten. Hang in there and take good care of yourself.

Wow you started school early. I don't go back until the 24th. Have you tried any of the diet changes yet? That has to be really hard to do being vegan already. I haven't tried any of the endo diets yet I'm guilty.

Jessa, I tried being vegan, sugar, caffeine, soy and wheat free. I felt soooo much better. I am not this extreme any more as I found it difficult to do properly, and then there'd be days when I couldn't be bothered and just eat the cheesiest, wheatiest pizza ever and then feel ill for days! I am still sugar, caffeine and soy free and eat cheese and drink milk rarely. Wheat is the one for me, that helped so much, it's unbelievable. Baths and heating pads are brilliant. Baths particularly when you're feeling ultra rough as the pain just seems to disappear! I know what you mean about dreading your period, I am exactly the same. I plan around it now although that takes some getting used to as my periods are getting longer and worse every month. I'm sure you'll learn ways to cope and we are all here to help and share our tips
