OK I have a question maybe you can help me out with. My cat NEMO is 8 years old and a total mamma's boy (He hates my husband LOL) he has always slept on top of me all night since he was a baby. I live in a co - op and 3 years ago my building went on fire at 5AM no fire alarms went off we were dragged out by the fire dept into the snow and our building up in flames and he was trapped inside the whole time. We couldn't find him to get him and and the fire dept tore my co -op apart looking for him. The fire missed burning down my unit by one wall. i was screaming for him hoping he would run out. Once they got the fire out they let me in asap. My husband threw up my bed mattress and there I saw his eyes inside the mattress. He dug a hole in the mattress and hid inside. I rushed him to the vet and he was fine. Thank God...
The last 3 months he climes off of my legs every night at 3AM and meows at the top of his lungs until I get up and carry him back onto the bed. It's the same time every night. If I call him he doesn't stop I have to get out of bed and get him. I don't know why he is doing this do you think he can have anxiety from the fire. Any suggestions???

OMG HOW SAD!!! Poor kitty was probably terrified! It could be a stress thing? I don't know how you would get him to stop though. This thread is good for talking about vet stuff: endo-resolved.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=chat&action=display&thread=3817 We have a few pet saavy members that come and give animal advice on this thread. Try to post your question there too because I'm not sure if they'll see it here on the funny section.
