Ever since I've started my period it seems like the Remeron has not been doing it's job on stopping the D and nausea. Even after 10 Immodiums its still active, though not as bad. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get my stomach to calm down? I already take digestive enzymes and Lactobactillius (is that how you spell it). I know a lot of people just stick to liquids until their stomach calms down but it doesn't work for me. If I do not eat for more than 24 hours I start to pass bile like liquid. Any suggestions?!!!! This is driving my crazy!

Hi, jennapurr. Check out this thread on psyllium husk. Definitely keep taking your probiotics (L. Acidophilus, etc. --just make sure the probiotics are refrigerated!!!) I had trouble with bile-like liquid. The psyllium husk will soak that up. Check out this thread on Psyllium husk. Feel free to post any psyllium husk-related questions on the psyllium husk thread. cjlevett.proboards33.com/index.cgi?board=alternative&action=display&thread=1139418533&page=1Hope this helps!

Hi Jenna, sorry to hear your so unwell!! I have started taking aloride which is 100% aloe vera that doesn't need to be kept in the fridge . You can read up on this on www.aloeride.eu , i am taking it with pharma nord bio-culture bio-flora which are friendly bacteria capsules that also don't need refridgeration. These were recommended to me by my health practitioner and seem to e doing the trick. Hope you feel good soon keep us posted!!

Nothing is helping so far. Today despite adding the acidophilus/Lactobacillus I threw up everything I had eaten for lunch/breakfast. My stomach is terribly swollen and I'm very nauseous. I'm not sure what has changed since my last period but the month I had of being able to eat like a normal person is gone now. Instead of the D today I'm just throwing up.

Jenna. Is it possible you have caught some type of bug that might be going around? Where I live there is one, and everyone seems to be yucky for a couple days.

Does this also help with the cramping? The psyllium husk helped me greatly w/ IBS-type cramps. You can read more about hat in the "Psyllium Husk" thread.

No, I don't think it's a bug. No one else in the house is sick and I have no fever. Also, I don't necessarily feel ill other than the usual aches and pains. I used to vomit occasionally like this until I took Remeron and that helped so much with the nausea at first. It feels like my stomach is really irritated and full and then I start to feel very sick and my stomach kicks out whatever is in it. I was able to eat dinner tonight without throwing it up but I am still uncomfortable. This is one of the many reasons why they're sending me to a GI in December.

Sounds like a GI is a good idea! Is there any way the GI could work you in sooner?

I wish they could. It took me a year just to get this appointment. I've been waiting a year already for them to work me in. I've applied for disability and was denied and I can't buy insurance so I'm just stuck with the county hospital out here.
The only way to describe it is that the feeling I get in my stomach is the same as the feeling I have in my pelvis area. Very full, lots of pressure and bloating, and instead of feeling the need to urinate like I do in my pelvis I feel the need to vomit. Its the same feeling just in a different area.

This might be a silly question--and may be totally irrelevant, but have you taken a pregnancy test?

Well, I just had my period about a week and a half ago. I had sex Saturday but unless you can get morning sickness after two days then that's a no. Before Saturday it had been about a month since we had sex.

Humm. When I had my chemical pregnancy I had horrible nausea and tummy problems 2 days after conception and wound up getting a + test 5 days past ovulation. Hehe! Maybe you won't need a lap for a while after all

Chemical pregnancy? Being pregnant is a nice thought but I don't want to get my hopes up. I'm 27 and have never been pregnant. Not even once. I haven't had an vomiting today though and I upped my Remeron dosage last night. Thank goodness this stuff works, even if it only works for a short time!

^ Well, unfortunately, I was only pregnant for a few days. Baby didn't stick, most likely because of low progesterone.
Anyway, I was just saying that you could have nausea this early from a pregnancy.
Glad that Remeron stuff is working for you, though!
