"New Orleans the city of a million dreams. Red beans and Voodoo Queens.... We celebrate life at funerals, we celebrate friends with music. N'awlinz is a gumbo a little bit of dis, dat, and d'udda." ~Dr. John~ I am really miss my family and Mardi Gras is right around the corner. I have thought of booking a flight for Jacob and I it maybe just what I need. A little time with my siblings, my nieces and dad. I'm so emotional today.

"I believe that life is a game, that life is a cruel joke, and that life is what happens when you're alive and that you might as well lie back and enjoy it." From American Gods (one of my favourite books) by Neil Gaiman.

He does rewrites of fairy tales. So far I've read 'Lost' about ghosts/a christmas carol/etc, there are 3 about Dorothy/OZ etc: Wicked, Son of a Witch, and A Lion among Men. There are more too 'Mirror Mirror' and 'Confessions of an ugly Stepsister'. my fave so far is 'Lost' which is just really spooky and timely and great....

Ooh, is that the guy that wrote Wicked? It was a hard read but I loved the story. Musical was great, too.
