"If you can make a girl laugh, you can make her do anything." ~Marilyn Monroe~ I have days that I feel like its a Marilyn day:) A day I could be laying in bed dreaming of the world like she may have done or a day that I am up and at it trying to conquer the world that all of us know she did too. So today was a MM day and I love to qoute her. A fact about her that some may not know. She had endometriosis. Even before I knew this about her I always felt a connection to her. I could see something in that smile the same smile I have some times. Its easy to spot. Its the smile to cover up pain. I do it and I am sure most of you do it too. She kept on moving thru life as best as she could which is what I am going to do today:)

She had it written into her movie contracts that she could not work that time of month. She suffered miscarriages as a result of the disease and also was dependent of pain meds. When I started to reasearch the disease Marilyn came up so did Queen Victoria and Susan Sarandon. I will find a article and post it. It explains so much about her life once you find out that she suffered from endometriosis. Why she never had children, her depression, her addiction and her overdose. What we go thru today is mild compared to what she must have felt. Alone with not much support. A time when woman's health issues were not talked about at all. Her life was a silent battle with this disease. Imagine if it had been different then and talked about the exposure the disease could have gotten from a star like her having it. It is so sad that she had to be alone in all of it.

I wonder how she or queen victoria would have gotten a diagnosis. I mean if we work so hard to ge a diagnosis, I can only imagine what it was like then

I am not sure about how Queen Victoria was diagnosed but I know that MM had a surgery for endometriosis. Her xrays were up for auction and they were taken when she had a surgery for her endo. Weird that anyone would want her xrays but people like anything that was hers I suppose. "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." ~Dr. Seuss~

This is the first time I've added anything on here but just had to post this. I can't remember where I got it from but loved it and wrote it in the back of my diary.

Thank you delzome~ I use qoutes as my FB status each day this one made it on today. It is perfect! The author is anonymous but it is used in poetry and motivational speeches alot. I researched it a little. "First impressions last a lifetime" I love this one too! This is yesterdays qoute from my FB page~ "If you judge people, you have no time to love them." ~Mother Teresa~
