Caught the tail end of an add on the radio for some magnetic based birth control that mentioned endometriosis. Can't remember product name but did a google search and found a similar product www.mn8.uk.comHas anyone used magnets for endo pain? Sounds non-invasive, drug-free, natural. But does it work and how? I know you can buy magnetic underlays in NZ to sleep on and people swear by them for joint pain etc. But interestingly they say not to use when pregnant? Is that because magnets can affect our hormones??

My mum gave me something a while ago that is apparently suggested for women going through the menopause. It's just a magnet that you clip onto the front of your knickers. I didn't want to try it at the time cos I was trying to get diagnosed and didn't want to mask any symptoms, but I might dig it out now and try it!

Great! Let us know how you go with it, hope you can find it - i imagine it's fairly small. It would be great to find something to use on the OUTside of the body, apart from diet, to reduce endo symptoms.

Ok, so I just checked the board and remembered I said I'd try this. I just found it. One side is like a pear shape, not much bigger than the area you make putting your thumb and first finger tip together. You wear this side on the inside of your knickers, with a small circular magney on the other side. It's advised to wear it 24/7 or as much as possible. The list of symptoms it can help is impressive - pain, bloating, mood swings etc. I'm wearing it to the left, kind of over my hip as that's where a lot of my pain is. Would you believe me if I told you my pain seemed to decrease within seconds of putting it on? ? Watch this space......

Hmm, I wore it yesterday and got a lot of hip pain in the afternoon. Not sure what caused it. But I'll keep trying with the magnet

Wow this sounds really cool. I just googled Ladycare. The site seemed to be aimed at menopause symptoms, a link at the top of the page went to mn8 device, the FAQs surprised me, you can wear it at the airport and if trying to get pregnant. Was only 24 pounds!! The hip pain might be from some rebalancing going on. When I had Bowen done once my thumb or toe throbbed after work was done on a different part of my body. Most feedback talked about major improvements after 2 months.

I have to admit I stopped wearing it since the hip pain kicked in last week. But I had the same hip pain flare up yesterday when I drank sugar free 7 Up. When it kicked in last week I drank diet coke. Could artificial sweetener cause hip pain? It's a relatively cheap, safe way to go I guess. As you say pretty, can't hurt!

Hmm.. will want to look into this magenetic treatment. Also I think one should avoid artificial sweetners as well.. I have somehow given up the aerated drinks as well.. Just thought it might be harmful for me.

Just ordered an mn8 magnet thingy. Can't wait to clip it on! Post weaning periods are cranking up a notch each month so it better arrive soon. If this works then it helps explain how accupuncture, reiki and all those kind of treatments may work in a subtle way.
Stevia (sp?) is a plant that's sweet and might be a good alternative to arftificial sweetners. You might be able to use this and make a cold fruit tea and add that for a nice drink.

It arrived 2 days ago and I clipped it on, then I couldn't stop yawning!! Weird. Two days into it and at first was still sore at night in intestines..? and poo pain this morning but this evening I sneezed and no pain down there or when I wee. Pains I'd forgot I had until they were gone! Felt like I was gliding when walking to practice tonight like my hips weren't stiff was so surprised by that. Sex still ouch. I think I'm sleeping deeper too. Waiting to see if it works on by breakouts.
