I think it's the milk that bothers me most at times, and I never put sugar in a latte or capuccino.

mee too, that darn milk. But I have started using agave in stead of sugar or splenda, it's great, but you have to stir it a lot.

I use lactose free milk at home, I think it helps and it tastes exactly like normal milk

really? I have never ever tried it. I will though if you recommend... btw today me and hubby stopped for coffee on the way to town. He has a regular coffee with milk and 3 sugars, and I get an americano (espresso/hot water) with splenda and cream. What's so funny is we mixed them up and neither one of us could tell which was which! lol he always mocks splenda so it's funny he couldn't tell the diff. ha ha ps in UK what do they call americanos lol? would love to know.

Um.....Americanos? Same name! The lactose free milk I get just tastes like milk, it comes in fresh and UHT, there's also cream cheese, hard cheese and youghurt I think. 'Lactofree' I think is what it's called. Can't tell difference, but it is a little more expensive.

The milk question is an interesting one. I know its one of the many things in the endo diet they suggest taking away. My sisters whole family stays away from milk due to various allergies that have shown up. I have tried going off milk a couple of times, but not for endo. It would be an interesting thing to try. I would have to make sure I took lots of good calcium supplements though. On the caffeine side of things... its that time of year! Its cold in the mornings and its so easy to run over and make my cups for the day. UGH

Helen LOL I thought that would be way too easy I thought you would have some other more Brit name for americano... funny it's the same. I'm such an idiot, if I'm not wrong, I'm wrong.
Here's to Friday, let it be short and painless! Cheers! (raising americano in toast)

Well pretty....all the coffee shops over here are American chains anyway! I think. But I guess the other name for an Americano would just be 'black'!

So, I finally tried that new pumpkin frappuccino at Starbucks (decaf, lite) and am glad to report that I didn't love it. I confess that I did break down, pay the $4+ and bought one (with whip cream!) for my birthday. I'm so glad I didn't love it. Now, back to my caffeine free days.

I have been eliminating dairy, wheat and caffeine for the last 3 days. Had a question about coffee. Is it the caffeine or the coffee that is the problem? Wondered if I switched to decaf. Just miss coffee I have been drinking it for so many years. Any experiences to share

Is it the coffee or just caffeine to avoid. I am avoiding caffeine but I miss coffee. What about decaf just a cup a day or it that still an irritant for endometriosis on the endo diet.

Generally, it's the caffeine. Play around with the decaf stuff and see how you get on.

Believe it or not, for me it was the coffee. I can take on loads of caffeine and feel fine but coffee makes me feel horrible and makes my migraines much worse. I don't know what it is about coffee but it doesn't agree with me. Sucks too because I love coffee!

It's the coffee...makes my guts churn every morning, but it's the one thing I can't give up. I limit myself to one cup on my drive to work in the morning, and it's not so bad. Sounds terrible, but it's worth it. I figure I have to give up so much for this disease, I refuse to let it keep my from my favorite ritual in the morning!
