I'm so nervous I started a new thread! This is me Pretty up here in Alaska, and they don't do the HSG test in my little town, so today I drove up to Anchorage so I can be on time at the hospital in the morning. I swear I am so nervous about this test, more than for my lap in April, more thananything, because if your tubes are blocked, they're blocked. Right? I am trying to tell myself that I am ok with the mysteries of my body and that I will accept what is found. But I really, really, really want to hear that I have at least one tube that's ok.

Aw, keep us posted, k? Oh, and I had a friend that had blocked tubes but they were able to open one during a lap, so if they do find blockage, don't give up all hope.
Good luck!

Ok, so this was quite amazing. Had the test, yeah it hurt, and watched on the screen as the goo went up the uterus, and out the tubes. My tubes, it seems, are open, way bigger at the ends than normal.... and theyre TWISTY! like two little tiny tornados spiraling up! It was crazy. Both the women working, the radiologist and the nurse, were standing there gaping. There is nothing wierder than this! Getting feedback like: danger of ectopic pregnancy! (if my ovaries were'nt surrounded by endo, and if I had any kind of regular sex life, I would worry... ) ANyhow the upside to all this is that I got to see that I do in fact have tubes, a uterus, and they're as unique as the rest of me. Now I'm just trying to figure out what to do with all this. I feel like a zoo exhibit. Thanks everyone for your energy!

Just tell everyone you have 'designer' tubes!
Glad you at least know what's going on in there, at least a bit more.

"designer tubes" lol....
So how do you feel about the results?
Pretty, you said something that struck me "they are as unique as the rest of me". I often feel like abnormal body stuff is normal for me. Like unusual medical results are very very typical and if it's not one thing it's another. Do other people have this too?

Yes. I feel sad, relieved, and mad. I also am debating having my crazy, nutty tubes tied, as the risk for ectopic is large and chances for normal pregnancy are small. Feel like just crawling into bed with a really good, really thick novel and NOT THINKING about it for, like, 20 years. Pretty sure that's a normal reaction. ANyone else have twisty, tornado tubes? Lizzy, I totally EXPECT these wierd results anymore. anything that ever happens to me is odd, nothing is normal. I am ok with that, just never know what to expect makes me very, very, very tired. ya know? (sounds like you totally know...)
