I tried to go without any meds after my surgery and it was a bad idea. It came back after about 2 months. My doc finally talked me into the nuva ring and I swear by it. I have been almost symptom free but just like sunshine, my migraines have gotten worse. I still stand by the nuva ring though. I just have to manage my migraines better now.

Have now quit Provera, mainly beacause after 7.5 months I feel ready to let my cycle start up again and see what happens!

Well my doc put me on Mirena but I'm not really liking it. Perhaps it's time to try something else??

Why don't you like it? What's bothering you? It caused me serious pain, had it out after 4 months.

I don't know if this is the best it will get or if there is something better. I'm okay with it this week but I just know that next week will be a different story (usually when we have deadlines too grrr!). I have horrible cramping (front & back) and breakthrough bleeding for 2-3 weeks a month.

After my first lap I chose to wait and watch. One year later I had to have another lap any my gyn told me I had to go on bc to minimize the endo and the ovarian cysts because she could not continue to cut me open (her words). About a year later I saw a reproductive endocrinologist and tried for the pregnancy option with no success Hormone therapy ever since I gave up on fertility treatment and I HATE it. No pain killers, no muscle relaxers, just Advil until the lining of my stomach started to revolt so yea, livin' with the symptoms of the disease is what I'm doing right now. Continuous progestin based bc minimizes pelvic pain but doesn't help with any of the other symptoms and promotes break through bleeding. Hey mawl - I think it is just mean to tell a woman with endo to get pregnant. I CAN'T get pregnant!

Jhogan, I agree with you. Mean and irresponsible. The world is already 500% overloaded, so they want us all the just pop out a kid to make the pain go away? I don't even want kids, and that would just mean one more unwanted child in the world. Not gonna do it.
I've had a Mirena in since my surgery. It gave me horrible dizziness for months following, and I still get dizzy sometimes, but sugar helps that. I've also been on Lybrel (BC) since about 3 weeks post lap. It's definitely helped the period pain since I no longer have periods, but I really can't say about slowing the growth. I've been on some form of BC continuously since I was about 15. My pain is starting to get worse, so even if it's slowing the growth, it's not stopping it.
