If you can find something that works for the nausea, sometimes I'm even combining the Sea Bands w/the Zofran and the Doxy Succ., you may be better off hormone-wise, but definitely talk to the doc. Just have a plan. Don't quit without a plan-of-attack in place first.

Are you getting morning sickness from pregnancy? Or from something else? I've heard wonderful reviews of Diclectin, and I love it too. But I hate to be dependent on taking a drug to function. Granted I am doing that now I suppose. Also, My sea bands travel with me everywhere!

It's technically something else but related.
Definitely important to find out the cause of your nausea! Treating the symptom is only masking it.

Nausea was a bit problem of mine before the lap and Provera. When I came off it, it eventually came back a bit, but nowhere near as bad. Now, I have next to no nausea. After being on it for so long it might not be as bad as you think when you come off it, but I agree you need to have something in place first.

that seems so strange to me that so many of us have nausea! I'm glad you have experience with the same drug Helen. Not many have taken it right through also. Even though we react differently, its good to have a second body that has done similar.

I had a lot of nausea and vomiting before my first lap, also. Nothing like what I'm experiencing now, but I think endo can do it in some cases.

Going back to the original question - if you're having multiple unexplained cysts, if it were me, I'd get the lap. They could be endometriomas or they could be something else, but they are there and can be investigated during a lap. Last time, they didn't find anything, right? This time, at least you have cysts! I know that's not what you want to get excited about, but it's something!! Keep in mind, all ovulation issues don't necessary relate to PCOS or insulin resistance. It was suggested both of those could be the source of all my misery but I've been cleared of both. There ARE other things out there that can affect cycle length, ovulation, etc. including thyroid issues (check TSH AND T3/T4), pituitary issues, prolactin levels, sex hormone levels, etc. I know you've been through the ringer and have had lots of tests, but there's something they're just not figuring out. I can imagine it's incredibly frustrating!

Very true! But it is something very common and easy to rule-out. All those should be tested on a complete hormone work-up.

Oh, and if you're on Provera constantly, chances are you're not ovulating at all, but if you're still getting cysts, more reason to suspect something else.

Your Provera dose has always bothered me. You're on 10 mg right? And that doesn't stop your periods. I was on 2 x that and once I had the Mirena out there was nothing - no bleeding/spotting whatsoever.

See, I don't know where these cysts are coming from. I was on 5mg of Provera until recently Helen. I am now taking 7.5mg, once/day. I am still having breakthrough bleeding though, which I am having trouble understanding. My "periods" had started to get increasingly painful, and heavier in the last 6 months or so, which is why my doctor suggested I increase the dose. She suggested 10mg, I had reservations about how I would react, so we settled on 7.5mg. As it is, I am having trouble waking up in the morning, and I have a lot of side effects, even from the small increase. I am thinking about stepping it back down to 5mg, so see how things go. I think my body reacts so sensitively that it will certainly induce some kind of bleeding, of what duration, and pain level, I am not sure.
As for the second lap... I see your point Karen, although I have concerns that the same doctor will once again not see anything. I can't be completely certain, running off memory, but I think I had a very small cyst going into the last lap also. But that could have been just an ovulating cyst, as it took place around that point in my cycle.
As to the question of whether or not I am still ovulating... No one seems to know. I had tried to chart my temperatures to see if there were any significant changes, to try and determine if I have been ovulating, but I have had such an inconsistent schedule, and had been doing a lot of traveling and leading a mostly disordered life for the last few months, that I can't be certain how accurate the results are.
I simply don't know. My body is my life conundrum.

I hear you on the super-sensitive side effects. They SUCK! I just hope you'll get some answers soon so you and your doc can come up with a better plan than just trial and error.
Do your temps reveal anything at all, despite the disordered life? I find that even if I temp within a few hours of normal, I can still see patterns. Everyone's different though!

I'm with Karen. Try to temp even with an erratic schedule. Some people can see a pattern with just a few hours of irregular sleep, and some can't. You won't know unless you try, though. I got lucky and could get a clear pattern even while nursing a baby every-hour-or-so, around the clock! Try it!

Do you still ovulate while nursing? I thought ovulation was suspended while nursing.
