We had 14 inches of snow in OKC on Christmas eve, but I was in For Worth, at the time, and we got a lot, but not NEARLY that much. There's still snow in the ground from two weeks ago in Oklahoma, and thank goodness the freezing drizzle we got last night didn't do anything, b/c the temps here aren't supposed to be above freezing until SUNDAY...
That's what sucks about the south - all of the moisture that comes from the Gulf is too close, when we have it move over super dense, super cold air at ground level... and that's why black ice is such a big problem for the roads and power outages. Oh, yeah - the wind gusted to 67mph, last night, and has been gusting near 40mph all day, today.
But I like when the weather gets sh*tty. It usually means I'm stuck at home, and there's no place I'd rather be.

113! I am not sure I could deal with 113 degrees either unless I am in dry heat like Palm Springs California then I can lay by the pool all day and enjoy the sun and warmth. Cass is it dry or humid?

Don't think we've been much above 4 up to now (C that is). So glad snow is nearly gone!

After the very cold start to the year, I felt positively warm this weekend! Next door's snow man has somehow survived the downpours, though he is now a pile of carrot and dirty snowballs on their lawn.

I fell for the faux-spring though, I decided to leave my gloves off on my way home and my hands almost fell off when I got in. It's definitely still winter.

P1sses me off when it keeps changing like this. Still, I still think we've got a good 6 months of nicer weather to look forward to!

We had a blizzard that dumped over 20cm of snow on weekend, then the blizzard just kept blowing the snow around. Everytime you tried to leave the house there was a 4 ft drift blocking your way. I couldn't get my van (with snow tires) out of my driveway on monday, so we had a snow day, and the school buses still arn't running, so the kids have missed three days of school. I could really use some spring.

Ugh, yuk...
We actually had a lot of snow melt the last week. I can even see some grass in some areas! The sun has been shining the past few days but it's been freezing cold again... I'm ready for spring too!
