so I woke up today with the cough that everyone has. I'm so glad it waited until my belly was mostly healed before I caught it. I was sucking down vit. c like candy hoping to help keep it away! I wish I had stocked up on echinachea as well. My poor little one has a fever of 103.9. Everything has been cancelled here in town because so many people are sick. I'm not feverish thankfully, just can't breathe very well right now. (asthmatic as well as endo)

ha! that's the joke right, The big pandemic that was predicted for years by the CDC. they don't even bother testing in these small hospitals. They just tell you to stay home and watch for dehydration

I think they aren't testing unless you're in really bad shape, admitted to the hospital. My doctor friend in Arizona (Phoenix) says they don't test it at their clinic. Just give Tamiflu and send home.

we seem to be doing a little better this afternoon. I have to watch my asthma but since everything was cancelled I can just lay around and do nothing which is the best way to get better. Woo Hoo

Nope, I heard they're not really testing anyone. Something about test results taking a while to come back? By the time people get results, it's usually too late to treat, so docs just treat it assuming you have it. Hope you're feeling better soon!
I've got a sinus infection at the moment. Not fun.

yeah, they have to send the test to the CDC. My hubby took in a 14 year old boy who was sick and his mom was freakin' out and asks the doctor (who is also the MPD of the hospital) if they can please test for swine flu. Dr. says "yes but you have to pay for it and it will get sent back east to the CDC and it will take two weeks." mom says "oh, never mind''. LOL! Flu is flu, its always deadly to certain kinds of people, the old, the very young, and the already sickly.
