Also side question, does anyone else have issues with the dissolving stitches? Mine never dissolve all the way! I had to have one pulled out at my last doc appointment, and i tell you what, it felt like my belly button came off, she pulled it out with tweezers, and YOWCH!

I'm sorry you're not getting a lot of relief from your surgery. I feel for you, I was right back at square one 2 weeks after my lap and it's NOT FUN!
Can I ask if you've tried the endo diet yet? I can't remember if you have or not. It was the lifesaver for me, and got me off the pain pills. Obviously rule out any other potential causes of the pain, too, but diet is something you could try in the meantime and see if you get any relief. For me, I noticed relief within days. Seriously! If you're desperate enough to try if you're not already, consider it!

Well I thought I'd leave a little note about the suck that can happen if you don't deal well with general anesthesia, even though my lap hasn't technically shown any endo. I'm waiting on pathology reports of the biopsies they took, but nothing was removed.
So in total, I was under general anesthesia 1.5hrs. They didn't put me under until I was in the OR and everyone was there, and I "woke up" fairly quickly after arriving at the PACU.
Meds they used: Versid (sedative prior to bringing me into the OR), a general anesthetic, cefalazolin (an antibiotic), prednisone, antihistamine.
During the surgery I got an allergic reaction to the IV antibiotic they give everyone. My chest broke out in a rash and I started to have trouble breathing, so they pushed prednisone and antihistamine.
Waking up after the surgery I had immediate pain, so they gave me a narcotic (IV tramadol? morphine?), which made me have to vomit, so they gave me zofran.
So it's anyone's guess which one of those fun meds did the trick for me, but after the anesthesia wore off and I went home, I couldn't pee! I would sit down and just trickle a tiny bit of urine, even after drinking glasses and glasses of liquid. I called my doctor the next morning and they told me to come in. I told them I was having frequent urges to urinate with very little result, so they catheterized me in the office and had me keep the foley catheter in for 24hrs. Apparently bladder spasms post-anesthesia can cause the bladder to not empty entirely, which leads to more and more residual volume, until the bladder is overfilled and can't contract well enough to drain. So the catheter kept the bladder volume down (to essentially 0mL) until my bladder muscles could calm down.
It worked! 24hrs later, I took the catheter out myself and drank a ton of water, and had normal urine voiding ever since.
I also got the post-anesthesia "itchies." Despite not having any residual rash (the prednisone took care of that!), I was itchy ALL over for 3 days. It felt like bugs crawling on my skin, and I would scratch everywhere! Antihistamine seemed to help a bit, but mostly I just had to wait it out.
No appetite - for the first 4 days after the surgery I didn't want to eat anything, I actually lost a bit of weight between that and doing a bowel prep beforehand.

At 3 pm the same thing happened as yesterday, suddenly got really tired and exhausted, I fell asleep and slept for two hours. Toni just went to get me some yoghurt from the grocery store.. he's been so amazing. always helping me and asking if I needed something, I'm feeling like a princess here My mom just called me and she's just an annoying ass. really, no sympathy or anything. "how can you be tired when all you do is just rest?".. seriously, I haven't been resting all the time, I'm not good at resting. I swear I sometimes just want to f'n... strangle her Not taking her too seriously though, I know she doesn't mean to be a ass. guess its normal that sometimes our mothers drive us crazy. Forgot to say something about the lap. My nurse said that if I wanted kids I shouldn't wait for too long. well that wasn't a surprise, I knew that endo affects fertility.

A little worried.. one of the cuts is a little red and it's hurting.. Mom said that I should just shower it and keep an eye on it. I really hope its not infected. The pain is a little better. But something just happened, one of the dogs decided to jump on my tummy and damn it hurt.. Thank god they're just chihuahuas and not big dogs Yesterday evening I was having a lot of pain cause I haven't rested enough. Just don't know how to rest! I get so bored.. today I think I'm going to try to go for a walk outside.

You really need to rest while you can! Even though you may just have a few small incision, your body is recovering from pain meds, anesthesia, and having your insides poked and prodded! Don't think of it as rest, think of it as healing!

Yeah... today I've been resting a lot.. We've been watching tv all day with Toni's sister, and one of the dogs has been next to me.. He's a real care taker, always there. Toni's mom said that when she had cancer surgery the dog was also with her all the time. he's a smart one, he knows I'm not ok and he doesn't even try to jump on my belly I've been really tired today, I just went out for a little walk with the dogs and Toni's sister. Walking is not hard anymore, although not quite normal yet.. It was nice to get some fresh air.

My best friend is coming for a visit today. we haven't seen in 2 weeks 'cause I've been at Toni's place And it's also nice to see mom! although she's sleeping now but she'll wake up once I make coffee for us, I can count on that ;D Think I have to take something for this heartburn, so annoying.. I'm feeling a lot better now, the pain isn't so bad anymore, well evenings are hard cause then i usually start to have pain.. But I think I'll be soon back to normal

who's an idiot? well I am. tomorrow I will simply just rest and do nothing, I'm having so much pain right now that I think it might take a while to get some sleep.
I didn't rest today almost at all, maybe 1,5 hours.. So now I'm paying for it. I must be a real genius thinking I can do all those things I did today. well obviously I can't since I'm having this annoying pain right now.
So angry at myself !!! I promise, this weekend I will do NOTHING, just f'n rest! no walking around the house like crazy and especially no bending.. so pissed right now.

yeah there's just one problem.. toni's about to move to a another room in the house today, and I guess I'm needed too, so I have to help.. of course I won't do any of the hard work, just the little things.. But now I will just rest until it's time to move those furnitures and all.. Toni said that I can be in the living room resting on the couch while they do their things but he also said it would be nice to have help.. So I'll help a little, but it should be a quick thing, so I do get time to rest.. I really don't feel like moving to the other room today, I'm already exhausted even though I just woke up. And I'm having terrible pain in my lower back and left hip because I can't yet do those physiotherapy exercises that I'm supposed to do few times a day. looked at those stitches and they look ok I guess, a little redness around them but I guess it's normal.. Itchy! I wanna scratch but can't, it's like hell

I'm about to sound really stern - it's clear from your posts that you know you need to take it easy - but you're not. Just get some books, lay down and read. Watch T.V. But stop doing too much, you body needs time to recover.
