I am so upset... I have missed like 20 days of work in the pass 9 months over the endo and just finding out what was wrong at the end of june. And cause since July 14 is when I have missed the most Directv fired me. They have a stupid point system that excepts you to be like a robot and as everyone knows with endo you are far from being a robot. If you have PTO ( paid time off) then for every 3 days only 1 point and if no PTO then 1.5 points per day you miss even if you have a doctor's note stating you need to be off. I think it is a bunch of bs that I lost my job d/t having a health problem and the doctor's are still trying to get my meds striaghten out to relieve some of my pain. And now they cant cause I have no insurance now. I HATE DIRECTV. And the thing that makes me mad the most is they stated "In 6 months if you have everything worked out then you can apply to come back to work here. Maybe by then everything will be taken care of." I am so aggravated. I hate it more than anything. And since I lost my job they did away with my husband's position where he worked so now we are both jobless. And both trying to find a job and no one is hiring around here except fast food and we are both waiting to find out if we can get unemployment. While trying to find a job. Like I said if it isnt one thing it is another.

Sorry to hear that, kiddo. That sucks. To be without health insurance is scary, too. Are you in the states? Are you eligible for COBRA, and the government subsidy to help reduce the cost? Even if it's expensive, in your case, it'd be worth it if you can swing it. If you have a lapse of insurance coverage (I think it's 62 days or more?), the next time you get insurance, they may be able to deny coverage for pre-existing conditions for a certain period of time. Just a head's up - something else to think about!
In the meantime, there are some things that help some women with their pain that are lower cost that you might want to consider. Diet, supplements, etc. Might not give you a ton of relief, but then again, they might!

Yeah, I can get Cobra but we no income at all right now. I dont know if we are going to be able to afford it. But I am going to check on the Cobra along with state insurance for the time being. I live in West Virginia and the job market here is very bad. There is like 30 people aday filing for unemployment. I am also looking for jobs out of state. I am willing to move and start a new life some where else with my hubby. Just keep us in your prayers if you all dont mind.

So sorry to hear this. I thought you could not be fired due to a health condition, but I'm not really up on all of those laws. Wishing you and your hubby the best of luck; I'll keep you in my thoughts.

get the COBRA, starve if you have to but if you don't have coverage for more then a month you won't be able to get any care for your endo or aany other medical issues for nine monts following any new insurance! Trust me on this! It really, reeaalaly sucks!

You get points for using your paid-time-off? WTF?

Yeah no matter what you get a point for calling off work. And since I used most of my paid time off eariler this year when I got married. I didn't have much time left. You can't fire d/t health problems. They fired me in there words "Cause you have missed so much work". That was the reason I had to take personal medical leave at the beinging of June to July 14th cause I was going to lose my job d/t calling off and going to the doctor's to find out what was going on. I dont handle pain very well anymore. And this endo pain is worse then when I had a headache for 1 year straight d/t lasck of sleep d/t seizures. Thank God I dont have seizures anymore but I thought the headache pain was the worse thing ever until the endo pain started.
