I won my appeal this morning. The pre-existing condition has been dropped because of the HIPAA rules. [glow=red,2,300]YEAH!! [/glow] so get this, they were so busy denying me coverage for the pre existing clause they hadn't approved it yet as 'medically necessary'. NICE HUH? But the appeals co-ordinator told them it has to be on her desk by wednesday so we can reschedule. I don't have any fears of it not passing as 'medically necessary' just another small delay. [glow=red,2,300]*sigh*[/glow]

Don't just stick it to the man...
Bend him over, and put it in his butt.
That'll make you feel a whole lot better. Trust me.

so I won the appeal but they still haven't gotten my pre-approval. Today is the last day they can dawdle. I'm sure they can find a way to screw me yet! I'm really tired of all this! I feel like a freakin' invalid most days. Fatigue and pain are making me miserable. If I do nothing i'm in less pain but i hate doin nothing!

I waited impatiently yesterday watching the clock until it was after 5pm. They were required by law to contact me. I finally got them this morning and they have approved the surgery. Apparently they sent out letters. *sigh* I'm now playing telephone tag with the surgery scheduler. I'm so... tired of trying to be polite and patient. Its fall and so much crap is starting up and now this surgery is going to be right in the middle of all of it and there isn't much I can do about it. so confused... I got woke up to the phone ringing this morning and I ran to answer it hoping it was the insurance. It was my daughters dance teacher "informing me of a wonderful opportunity for my daugher". I have first soccor practice on monday, school starts monday (probably should have started today) dance starts monday. Surgery?? still dont' know??? I teach piano, violin, I don't know whether to start and then have to quite on my students or not. it would have been easier to have gotten this done sooner. I don't feel like waiting for christmas because I can't keep doing the narcs and I mean really, Happy fu*ckin christmas right? (or hanankuh for the jewish) so I guess we get a hold of the scheduler and see what happens. so not happy... I should be jumping for joy since I worked so hard to get this done. I am happy we won. I am happy that I can get this done. I'm happy that my roller coaster ride through a lesson in patience is over. There I talked myself out of the slumps. wheee, that was fun! LOL

Woooooo hooooooooo! I'm so glad you were able to keep up the fight - it certainly paid off!
There never seems to be a good time to have surgery - there's always bad timing for this or for that. Glad you got something on the calendar and have something to plan for now. Having things up in the air sucks!

I admire you for your patience! And I'm really glad things went through for you. I hate that they put you through this and it wasn't even necessary! JERKS!
So start the count down again! YAY! We're all rooting for you!
