Spanish toy manufacturers made a doll that you can breast feed and it comes with a stupid little shirt that has a flap that opens and exposes a nipple for the doll to suck on. Does this freak you out as much as it does to me? www.news.com.au/story/0,27574,25891708-401,00.html

That's insane, and I am pro-breastfeeding! THe thing that bothers me is the fact that it SUCKS! WTH? ?? My daughter pretends to breastfeed her baby dolls...but she just puts them to her bellybutton and makes a smacking noise. LOL! I would NEVER want a toy designed to suck on a child's nipples!!! That seems almost like abuse!

Yeah, I'm a big pro-breastfeeder and that is pretty offensive!

Ew, so wrong... My mom used to say that when I was a baby and she would nurse me, my sister would lift her shirt and hold her doll up to her chest, mimicking my mom. Stuff like that (and Baby Ouchy) is cute. Actually having a doll that suckles is not.
I'm not one to jump on the bandwagon that toys these days set kids up for all these bad situations in life (like video games and violence, etc.) - I think it's a PARENT'S job to step in and raise their child - but I think a doll like this could potentially give a kid a false sense of how 'easy' motherhood is... And no child should need to know the sensation of someone/something suckling them!!

My problem with it is the toy calls attention to an adult body part on a child. That really freaks me the hell out.
