Toradol is supposed to be really bad for your liver at least that's what my doc told me when I asked if I could take it at home (I had it as a shot and worked so great, anyway) Maybe check on that , find out how much is too much. just sayin... good luck nichole!

yes Toradol can cause liver problems I use it sparingly and to get me through my work day...if not its tylenol # 3s! I will be careful with the amount I use for sure, don't need another health problem thanks Pretty for an update I met with my surgeon friday and he said to me "looks like you had good results from your last lap" and when he asked how long I was pain free I said a year and then he rethought the other statement haha 1 year thats it!? UGH anyways so he said you need surgery asap and offered me Minera or IUD but thats a 5 year commitment and were planning tostart trying in the fall. So for now its another lap just don't have the date yet.

Aw another lap!
The IUD/Mirena lasts for 5 years but it doesn't mean you have to commit to the entire 5 years. You can have it removed sooner if you want to as long as your doctor is on board with you.

Just talked to my doctor. He showed me a million pictures, and basically said "it's a mess" and i have it everywhere. He says that i probably have it on my bowels too. He drained the endometrioma i had, but my ovary itself keeps filling with blood, and that's where a lot of the pain is coming from. He basically told me that i need to have a hysterectomy or go on Lupron I'm 27, and I don't want to have kids, but i also don't want the side effects that come with these things!! I'm not sure what to do. I'm definitely going to see another doctor and get another opinion. I talked him into letting me try nuva ring, but he basically said it would be a miracle if it did anything My ovary pain is back just as bad as before the surgery.

I'm really sorry. I've been offered the same options, and haven't taken them. Not that it's the right decision, just that it's the right decision for me right now.
Do you know why he just drained the endometrioma instead of removing it?

I'm really not sure why. I'm just going to go see a different doctor, and find out what they have to say. I'd be fine with having the ovary removed, but he said that wouldn't help. I don't see how that could be true, cause obviously it wouldn't make me not have endo, but all of my constant pain has to do with that ovary.

Please get a second opinion, and with a specialist!

Yes, please get another opinion! To be offered those two things as a solution is bang out of order!

Find an endo specialist! Draining the endometrioma is a bit of a waste of time without removing it, I would think.

Quick update on my endo! I'm over a month out from my surgery and have no more back pain. Excising that huge spot on the back of my uterus was the best idea ever! I'm still having tiny twinges of pain in the front near my bladder, but nothing terrible. Ever since the surgery my depression has been back into full swing, and I'm so tired. I'm in hopes these two things will fix themselves, but it's been over a month so I might go get my hormone levels tested just to make sure they're all ok. But hey, at least the pain is gone for now! Maggie- that's great news, thanks for the update. Not great on the depression, maybe that can become a priority now that your pain is better. Hugs to you!

Hey, I'd like to do an update since my last post here was pretty hopeless. After having a second lap with a different doctor, who is a pelvic pain expert and did excision surgery, I am feeling a million times better. I still had a ton of inflammation pain, but now that i'm on aygestin, it seems to be going away. All the pain I have is extremely minor compared to before, and I'm able to enjoy life again for now.
It did take a while for my pain to get better after the surgery, but I think it's due to having SO MUCH stuff cut off and removed.

When was your second lap? That is very encouraging for the gals out there feeling hopeless!
