Wow. I want to cry. I have my bags packed and the backpack/diaperbag I got for the baby. I can't believe I just packed my baby's coming home outfit! I never even though about having to do that one day!

Thanks, guys! Well, the dull ache didn't turn in to many contractions, but I still have the dull ache. I swear it feels like my period is coming! How will I keep in touch. Actually, if labor is really like a period, or if my HypnoBirthing works well, I might be able to chat with people on messenger or set up a blog thread. My neighbor downstairs had like an 8-pound boy and never really realized she was in labor until he was crowning and they rushed to the hospital! She said it's not that bad, so I just have to keep positive thoughts in my head! (NO ONE TELL ME BAD BIRTH STORIES NOW!!! lol ) Mind over matter, right, well at least with hypnosis! Oh. And if I go to the hospital, they have wi-fi.

Grrr. So, while I'm still having the dull-ache, I decided to take some nice belly/body shots to commemorate my tummy bc I thought I'd blow up like a huge air balloon, and I've actually managed to keep a pretty nice figure through it all. Well, apparently, my baby has decided to drop! What was a cute mini-basketball a couple days ago is now long and drawn out, with the bulk of it right above my pubic bone! I KNEW I should have had someone take pics the other day! Grrrr! Oh well. I'm still going to take them. Just won't be as perky. LOL. Now both my boobs AND my baby have headed South! LOL

for the last few days I started getting cramping pains again kind of like mentrual cramps. And I feel a lot of pressure around my cervix and pelvic area. I have been carrying low my whole pregnancy but in the last week she has dropped even more. Does anyone know how far along you are suppose to be before you usually drop? I am a little worried but don't want to jump the gun and call the Dr. yet, but I am only 31 weeks should I be worried? And are the cramping pains normal this far in pregnancy? Ouchy it sounds like you are about ready to pop! Did you belly button ever pop out and if so how far along were you? What kind of home comng clothes did you get for your baby girl, I have not bought any thing yet and am not sure what I should be looking for.

Hey, Tiff. I have carried low the whole time, too, and had cramps the whole way through, pretty much. In our childbirth class, we learned that you can drop up to a month before you give birth. Usually anywhere from a couple days to 3 or 4 weeks before the big day! If you are worried about your cramps, like I was, ask your doctor. Mine checked my cervix and assured me everything was ok. Oh. I got lucky. My bellybutton never popped out! As far as the homecoming clothes, I dont' know what the weather will be like, so it is a onesie, little pink pants, and a matching pink sweater with an attached hoodie. I figure if it is warm, I can peel off the layers. If it is too cold, I'll just keep adding. LOL!

How funny I found a little lavender colored 3 piece set like that too! it has a onsie lavender pants and a matching sweater with a hood. I thought it would be for the home coming but my mother in law said they should be wrapped up tight, so that is why I was asking! I am confused at what they should be dressed in.
Well I have my next appointment in a week so I will bring it to my Dr. attention. I am sure everything is fine but of course paranoid like usual.

Humm. Maybe I should bring her home in a little gown and a swaddler so her feet and legs can still be bunched up and touching, then? I don't know. LOL. I"m so confused, too!
Keep us posted on what your doc says.
My pre-period-type aches have stopped. The braxton hicks contractions have also slowed. She was really active today while I was sewing! I think she finds the sound of the machine comforting. LOL!

OOooooh! I talked my way out of dilation/cervix checks! I asked my OBGYN what the point of it all was when it doesn't predict when you'll go in to labor. He said most women just want to know how many cm they are dilated. But I don't want to know. It will happen when it happens, and some women go from 2cm to 10cm the same night, so it doesn't really matter. Plus, you can have bacteria introduced or something worse. So, I don't have to have my cervix checked until I get to the hospital, which is retarded again if I'm going drug-free bc her head will only crown once I'm a certain cm anyway! I think I will refuse it during labor, too! I like being cheeky and challenging what they try to do to me to see if it is really necessary or just for sh*ts and giggles! Oh. Forgot to add that after the non-stress test, my OBGYN always does a fluid check via ultrasound. I could feel the baby moving, and he showed me her ribs expanding and contracting--she was practicing breathing! It was sooooo cool! He said it is a sign of health. I wanted to cry. It was so amazing. Just breathing the fluid in-and-out. So, not only does she have hiccups, she also practices breathing!

It's honestly amazing what they do when they are still all tucked away in there. Your body is practicing for her arrival and she's in there learning how to breathe! It really is so surreal!
