That is great. I feel my heartbeat all the time especially hen I lay on my side. Sometimes it is real strong and I wondered if they were hiccups.
Yeah We have a ton of clothes and our baby shower is not for another 2 weeks. Her closet is already full, she is so spoiled already. Actually most of them were handed down but are in great shape and still look new. We had to actually get a closet organaizer to put more room in the closet for all her stuff.

That's awesome! Yup! Those are actually hiccups and not your heart! A closet organizer, too! Wow! She is one special baby! Isn't it amazing how they're not even here yet and have more clothes than we do?!?

LOL! I just got a letter that I got "approved for OB delivery." LOL! What would have happened had I been denied? That is too funny!

You mean your approval letter from your insurance company? I had to register, well my Dr. registered, with my insurance company around 2 months of pregnancy and I was approved for 4 days in the hospital. I can not believe you have to be approve to have a baby by your insurance company.
Yeah she has so many clothes we had to get an organizer or it would not fit, and the worse part is my shower is in two weeks and I know I will get a bunch more.

Yep. My inusrance approval. LOL! I know. It seems kind of silly to have to be approved, huh! Especially when they've been paying for the prenatal visits all this time! You were approved for 4 days. I wasn't approved for any amount of days. LOL. That's fine. If they want me out of there the same day, I'll be all for it. Nah. I think it's up to a week if I have to have C-sec and 3 or 4 days if it's vaginal. Crazy, huh!

Yeah that is a long time. I know that just recently they passed a new law where insurance companies have to pay for 48 hours after vaginal and 4 days for c section. I am taking my birthing classes now and she said at the hospital I am going to be delivering at they make it mandatory to stay 24 hours after vaginal but prefer 48. I think I am just shooting for 24.

I wonder what happens if the baby comes at home and then you go to the hospital? If that happens, I will freak out if they dont' admit me but want to take the baby! I wont' separate with her.

If they admit the baby, they will give you a room with a bed so you can stay with her. After one of my nephews was born, he got jaundice and had to be re-admitted just a few days after leaving the hospital. It looked like it was my sister's hospital room even though she hadn't been admitted. It had a bed in the middle, with a bassinet to the side for my nephew. She was with him the whole time. She was breastfeeding, so they couldn't ask her to leave, and anyway he was her child! Even when my brother was in the hospital with pneumonia at 1 1/2 my mom was with him 24/7!

Oh, that's good that they let her stay! A few people I have known were discharged and asked to come several times a day to the hospital to pump so the nurses could feed the baby from a bottle. We went on our hospital tour yesterday, and the lady said that they may want to keep the baby even after they send the mom home. That's got me a little worried again, though. Maybe that is if the baby has to be in the NICU or something. We made our trip to the hospital tour yesterday as a "practice run." Okay, without any traffic, it took us 30 minutes! I can't imagine what it will be like in traffic. One time when we went for a diagnostic ultrasound, it took us literally an hour to get there, and that wasn't even the heaviest of traffic! Oh. And another thing. My neighbor, who also delivered at this hospital, said that when she got there, he was already crowning, and the nutty nurse told her not to push because she had to wait for the doctor to get there to deliver the baby! The nurse pushed the baby's head back in!!!!! I SO will NOT let that happen! It makes me hate hospitals and what has become of birthing so much more! On an upside, I won 2 auctions on eBay for baby socks! One of the auctions also had a changing pad for the diaper bag (since I bought a backpack instead of a diaper bag, this will be handy!), bibs, hats, mittens, and a little newborn coat! The only thing that sucks is she doesn't take PayPal, so now I have to get a money order or cashier's check! Grrrr! Oh. + a stamp!

Right girlies, I need some positive labour thoughts today for my cousin and my friend Lottie. Both are being induced TODAY! So I will shortly have a new family member to coo over (though they live in Greece). Anyway, the are only offering my cousin gas and air - no epidurals there! Arghhh. So get sending those labour and delivery thoughts so that both can speed through it!
xx

Wow, my cousins baby arrived today at 10am UK time - midday in Greece. She didn;t need the induction after all. She weighed in at just over 6 pounds and they have popped her in an incubator but all is well. My cousin is having a good sleep now as she was in labour all night. Yayy. No names yet though.
So now, just waiting for my friend Lottie's baby! x
