This board has been quiet for a while. Is anyone else currently in the second trimester? I'm 22 weeks along right now. Our little boy is due July 14!
I had a great experience with my husband at the 20-week ultrasound. We got to watch the whole thing on a monitor, which was incredible. The baby started out breech, but turned around during the test! I had to get up and walk around a little bit at one point to see if we could get the baby to change positions, and he did.
Everything came back as being right on track, except that one of his kidneys was slightly dilated. Has this happened to anyone else? My doctor doesn't seem too concerned right now, but wants to send me back for another US to check on it in eight weeks.
Congrats to everyone who's expecting little miracles!

congrats, anneny!!!!!!! How exciting to see him turn during the ultrasound! My neighbor's son had the kidney thing, and she had to go in for a more detailed ultrasound as well. His kidneys were normal by then. I hope your little blessing's kidneys will be the same way and get to normal a.s.a.p.! Congrats again!

It totally blew my husband's mind that our little guy could move that much. I'd been feeling movement and little kicks for a while, but it wasn't until after the US that Humberto (my husband) could feel them from the outside. It's funny, though, because the baby will be wiggling like crazy, but as soon as he puts his hand on my belly to feel, he stops. So one day I spent the whole day talking to the baby and asking him to please, please wiggle for Daddy, and you know what? He did! Humberto was over the moon happy!

Actually, as the mother of an 11 day-old boy, I can verify that boys do in fact drool, and gurgle, and occasionally coo. :-)
Congrats on the little girl!

Congrats, tweety!!! My OB this time is super cool! He came into the exam room wearing flip-flops, ripped jeans, a t-shirt that said "baby catcher," and a hat, which I can't remember was on backwards or not! He's been known to attend hospital births in t-shirts instead of scrubs, too, which I'm totally cool with as I find t-shirts cleaner! He hopefully will have his own birthing center (with surgical suite) open by my due date. That would be really cool since Hubby won't let me do a homebirth (especially with a VBAC). I do not want another hospital experience like last time, but even if I wind up w another c-section, I'm leaving the next day, anyway. I just really love him so far. He even ran a 5K race with one of his 40-wk+ mamas! It was cute. She ran in a hospital gown, and for the race, he actually wore scrubs.
