No heartburn here but have also read it is highly common. I think my next one is sched. for next Thursday. I feel like she's getting stronger, so to me, that's growing. What the ultrasound will say...I guess we'll see.

Ok I think most of you know that I have been having break through bleeding and been insructed to not lift, bend, stretch, exercise, and type of arobics etc..... welll I finally got some answers as to why they are nervous about my activity.
They are worried about placenta abruption....... during my ultrasound they examined my placenta and noticed it was starting to pull away from my uterus or something. I have done some online research and am still confused, does any one know much about this or have experienced it?

Hello all....its been a really really long time!!! I hardly ever get access to the internet now-a-days, but I'm always thinking about everyone and wondering how everyone is doing? Heartburn is nasty for some of us during the pregger time. I suffered quite alot but mostly at the end. There is hope though, I was told that the day you have the baby is the day your heartburn goes away...and it was true!
Sorry Tiff, I'm not very sure about the placenta abruption, but I know that I had excellent care during my pregnancy and that everything that was unpleasant or a pain to do was so worth it when we introduced our beautiful little Trinity into the world.
Hello to you Ouchy, sorry I looked around and tried to find out how far you are or if you have had your little one, but came unstuck...so? I'd also like to say congradulations to everyone who is preggers and good luck to those who are trying and that you should all always keep the hope. Especially when it seems hopeless...thats when our little miracles come along!!!
hugs to all
La

Oh how exciting Aladiana, I was hoping for twins but there is just one and that is fine with me as long as she is healthy.
Well It has been a while since I was on. We are having a girl I am so excited. The last ultrasound came back good. The pulling in my placenta from what they thought was a placental abruption was a lot better and I have been released from bed rest.
How is everyone doing with their pregnancies so far? Oh and I am gaining weight now, I have gained 6 pounds and almost back to the weight I started at, only one pound away. My belly is getting bigger almost everyday so it seems and am excited to finally be able to feel the baby move.
Ouchy did you have your US yet, is your baby growing?

Yep! I am. Congratulations on your girl, tiff!!! Glad your problem is improving!!!! THat's awesoem that you've been released from bed rest! She is still behind at the same rate as before, though since the "what's acceptable curve" widens the further along in pregnancy you are, she went from 5% to 17% staying the same rate behind. LOL. Silly, eh? She'll probably be 50% soon. I failed my glucose tolerance test, so they wanted me to take a 3 hour one today, but i refused it since I am eating a pretty much insulin resistance diet already and the fact that the concentration of glucose they use--I wouldn't eat that much in a week, let alone drink it in 5 minutes! My OBGYN is supposed to call me on monday. Even if I do the test, it's going to diagnose me w/ gestational diabetes, and we already knew I was at increased risk for that bc I am insulin resistant. I told the nurse that I don't have a problem coming in to let them check my blood sugar after standard meals I eat--that DO NOT include 100g of glucose!

Denna we had our first diagnostic on week 19 and they thought it was a girl but was not sure. Because they were not able to get all the pictures of the heart and palate they needed I had to come back on week 21. They said at the US it was a girl. They usually test for the sex around 18-20 weeks but don't get your hopes up because they may not be able to tell you right away depending on the positioning of the baby.
I am glad your baby is growing and but hopefully she will kick into overdrive and grow faster. If you have gestational diabetes what can you do for that? I am hypoglycemic and wondering if I am at an increased risk, but I will find out soon because I am testing in few weeks.

I am going to talk to my doctor about it on Monday when he calls. Probably just keep managing it through diet. If you have blood sugar issues and had to take clomid to ovulate, there is a chance you could also be insulin resistant (it's common with those characteristics), which would put you at in increased risk for developing gestational diabetes. I hope your test goes well. Make sure it is the glucose tolerance test they are doign on you where they check it after an hour. If you fail that, that's when you're supposed to go back for the 3-hour one that I ducked out of. I may be talked in to it, but it is difficult to get myself to agree to drink that much sugar! I feel like I owe it to my baby not to take the test bc of the sugar they use. But at the same time, I'd like to know the results of the test. Grrrr. It's difficult. Have you started feeling her kick yet, tiff?

Oh yeah for sure! She wakes me up in the morning and keeps me from going to bed at night. But I love it, I am really enjoying my pregnancy inspite of the problems I have had.
