I am 17 weeks and have not even felt fetal movement let alone kicking. When i saw the dr. today she said that is was normal for some woman not to feel it right away. But I want to feel it already! I am excited to feel my child move.
ouchy when did your husband feel it for the first time?

Have you seen movement on ultrasounds thus far? Maybe you have a tiny baby, too? I hope you get to watch your diagnostic.
My husband hasn't felt the kicks yet--he gets impatient and gives up. LOL.

LOL thats funny. My husband will put his hand on my belly and keep in there forever hoping to feel something.
I have seen movement in an ultrasound. My 10 week US the baby was moving around quite a bit. You can see where the baby is in my belly, so my husband likes to blow rasbarries over the baby because the baby does not like it and moves to the other side. It is funny to watch, but i just can't feel it.

It must be a daddy thing. I love that he is like that becasue it shows his excitment about the pregnancy.

Yay, I am so happy for you ouchy. I bet it is the best feeling in the world to be able to feel your baby kick and even better to know others can feel it too. I hope this little one starts kicking soon. Still have not felt any movement Have my ultrasound Monday and both of my in-laws are going. I am so excited that I can not think of much else!

Thanks, Tiff! I really hope you see some great movement on the ultrasound! You'll probably start feeling your baby soon, too. Have you been having any weird gas-like pains? That's kinda' what it feels like. A lot of women mistake gas for their baby moving. Aaaaah! You'll have to let me know about MOnday's US! Hugs!!!!

Just wanted to give a quick update...
I'm 18.5 weeks now. I've been feeling movement for the past several weeks, and my husband actually felt a kick the other night! Heartbeat is still over 140 bpm, and the dr. says it sounds great.
I still haven't gained ANY weight (I've lost about 15 lbs since I got pregnant, maybe even more). I'm 3 lbs lighter than I was a month ago, and the exact same weight as I was 2 weeks ago (even though I'm eating frequently). My dr. is a little worried, and since I'm still nauseous and gagging/puking every day, I'm on Prevacid (GERD can cause these symptoms) and Zofran. I'm also being tested for ulcers.
I have my looooong US next week, so we'll get to find out the sex then hopefully!
BTW, my husband also blows raspberries on my tummy!

Well I had my ultrasound today and the baby is very healthy. Everything looked great and was measuring in where it should be.
I am still havng problems with my placenta and they found something today that worried them and i was put back on bed rest. Yay for me
we do not know what we are having because the baby was so active they could never get a clear shot of the genitals. The tried to look through the legs from a front profile and all they could tell me was she did not see a penis. So with out seeing a vagina either she can not give me an answer but is leaning toward a girl. I guess they have to actually see the labia/ vagina to call a girl.
They scheduled another US for the 31 so they can get pictures of the palete and heart that they could not get today because the position of the baby was bad. I hope I will find out the sex then.

Yay for both of you, akcheryl and tiff!!!!
Akcheryl, don't worry. I lost tons of weight, too. Now in my 24th week, I finally weigh about 3 pounds more than when I got pregnant more than 6 months ago! You'll likely eventually put it back on. Oh. And I stillll throw up once in a while in the mornings at 6+ months!
Tiff! I'm SOOOO glad you saw tons of movement! That's good that your baby is conservative. Very nice to keep the legs together and not show the privates. LOL! I bet your next US will be awesome and more high-tech!
I have another high-tech US next week to see if my tinnnnnnnnny baby has grown any. I feel like I have this sweet secret inside of me that only I can feel! I love it!
Oh! I have no idea if I posted this somewhere else, but we bought a glider/recliner w/ ottoman from craigslist.com! It's great! I always find my husband in it watching tv now. LOL! If you're tight on money (or just a tightwad like me!), craigslist has TONS of baby stuff! We're going to get our co-sleeper and changing table from craigslist, too!
