And it's Australia you're thinking of. Actually, the checklist was from an American site based on an American documentary.... it has just spread to Australia What I meant was, Australia is the country banning incandescent bulbs. I didn't know Canada was doing it too.

You know i dont know anything bout this bulb thing to be honest.
I use the low wattage globes, u know those funny shaped ones that last heaps longer use alot less electricity, they are fantastic, i barely have to change a globe, they arent as bright by a long way so not so good to read by but in most parts of my house this is not a prob.
I think im inadvertently doing my part for the environment, since i cant work cant drive, lol.
Haha
Actually im pretty conscious of everything i do with the environment, i think bout products i buy, compost, recylce, use green bags shopping, all that jazz, i think i could do more but its a learning process for us all. I try and buy recycled products so the companies will recognise that thats what people want.
I was using the green bags before most people too, and my husband used to say it makes no difference, but i argued by people seeing me using it they will think on it, and hopefully more and more people will do it until its standard, and thats certainly whats happening.
We could definitely learn alot from germany in regards to the environment, they do it so well, they charge money on the glass bottles of all drinks and u get a refund when u return them, so even if ur too lazy to give a sh*t, someone will be desperate enough to pick them up for the money. They dont give out plastic bags at all, u have to have your own calico bag or pay for one, its wonderful, it encourages good environmental behaviour even amongst those that dont care.
Im a slight hippy sorry, am very green and conscious of all that i do.

I try and buy recycled products so the companies will recognise that thats what people want. Excellent!! Good thinking! by people seeing me using it they will think on it, and hopefully more and more people will do it until its standard, and thats certainly whats happening. I'm sure you're right about that! Why would you apologise for that?

Erzulie, I must have been having a dull day. After re-reading the thread, it's now obvious what you meant. Sorry

I think there's a hippy in all of us dying to get out and switch of that light I have seen a strange transformation on Neighbours (probably 10 weeks ago for you guys) where Doctor Kennedy has gone from being a stuck up medic to being a bit of a tramp and taking the eco warrior thing too far. Last I saw he had lice in his beard cos he was close to his rooster... xx
