Got a kookaburra story,
was camping at hat head national park (NSW), and the kookaburras there were cheeky buggers. Tried to steal our roast, that was frozen solid.
Anyway, one day we were just chilling, reading, drinking beer, as u do camping, and one kookaburra not from that territory turned up, and the others attacked it, not just to scare it off, tried to kill it, the poor thing barely escaped with its life. I had no idea they were such violent territorial birds. They certainly didnt like us being in their territory, but we were a bit too big to attack, so they just watched us the whole time.

Animal behaviour can be pretty scary at times.
My best kookaburra story was at Montville (Sunshine Coast, QLD) where kookaburras were flying right into a cafe and stealing things straight from peoples plates.

These birds are all so gorgeous, I loved the 2 types of c.ockatiel they are so different to the pet variety. The swans are amazing to look at especially in comparison to our white swans. Thanks for all of those, I definitely feel a bit more educated! xx
