Hello,
I am new to this board but unfortunately I am not new to infertility. I was told by my dr. after a laprascopic surgery about three years ago that he "burned off some endo" along with a list of other findings, good and bad. I didn't realize that this meant that I had endometriosis (duh, I don't know why I didn't get it) until another doctor read my chart and told me that I had it. Well after an ectopic pregnancy and my third proven miscarriage last week I started searching for ways to deal with my endo, not just infertility. Thankfully I found this website. I downloaded the e-book for endo recipes and I have started avoiding all foods that might aggravate my condition.
Here is my question which I tried to follow the rules on and did a search first but couldn't come up with an answer, and any thoughts would be appreciated. According Carol Levett's recipe book on endo, we are to avoid all red meat. Recently it was recommended to me that I take glandular supplements. These supplements are taken from organic cows and sometimes pigs. Is this the same thing as eating red meat? Will the bad postaglandins multiply???
Thanks for any thoughts or resources you might have.

Thank you Ouchy for your condolences and thank you for your advice. I will PM her. It was a treat to get welcomed so quickly. Since I'm up burning the mid-night oil I didn't expect anyone to be on, but of course I didn't check to see where you are from. By the way my User Name TMichelle is still waiting for approval so I am using MichelleT as a guest but I'm the same person

Well I'm grateful to your little night owl for keeping you up to give me some advice Currently I am not able to PM the admin, I think because for now I am waiting for approval to join the board officially and perhaps the icon for private messaging doesn't show up until you do join the board. Once I'm approved I'll try to find it. I will also be glad to tell you of my Clear Passage experience on the other forum.

Thanks, I hope I'll be a great member and hopefully a great inspiration for success in achieving a healthy pregnancy and baby I too should try to get some sleep. This is the latest step I am going to try to institute is a bedtime. I have no discipline when it comes to going to bed but who knows what that's doing to my body?!

Oh. Some people dont' read the infertility forum. Can you post your intro in the "Introduce Yourselves" forum? Just a quick blurb. Thanks! No rush! Have a good night! Sleep well! And P.S. I have a ton of questions to ask you about your cycles to figure out the recurrent miscarriage thing! I have only had one miscarriage (very early one), but once the problem was figured out, I actually carried to term (sans 2 weeks...had to get her out, low fluid). Can't wait to get to know you!!!!

Most of us enjoy burning the midnight oil You'll find enough company and awesome girls here to advance your insomnia, in both a good and bad way. Haha. Sorry to hear about your trouble, but it amazing to see the hope and determination you have. Also, pick Ouchys brain! I go to her before I go to my Dr. LOL.

Yes, I'll go over and introduce myself in the "Introduce Yourself" forum. I am still having problems using the Username I signed up under "TMichelle", apparently my Username and Password don't match up. Once I figure that out and am able to log in under my correct Username I'll head right over. Thank you Ouchy for being willing to try and figure out my recurrent miscarriage thing! It would be an answer to prayers. No one has really delved into my cycles. Thank you for your welcome Tess. Looks like I definitely have some kindred spirits if people around like to stay up late too. Perhaps if you see me on the message boards after midnight lurking around you should scold me and tell me to GO TO BED! Thanks for kind words of support. It's a tough journey.

Welcome. I hope you can find what works for you here. I haven't seen any kind of doctor in 2 years and I'd honestly rather be shot than to go willingly to one now, but that's just me! I'm curious to hear about your cycles too. I recommend reading as much as you can on how all our hormones work, not just estrogen or progesterone. It will give you insight into your own problem. Knowledge is everything. I had a miscarriage, last year. I have endo and PCOS. I could be wrong, but if I had to pinpoint my problem, I'd say my egg likely wasn't viable. And then I turned into psycho health nut and was pregnant again in 6 weeks. This time it lasted. I believe there's always hope anyway, so I'm glad you're not giving up. Have you been charting?

Thank you Jellybean. It is a real encouragement to hear success stories such as yours. It helps to remind me that there is still hope and not to give up. At one point I too thought my eggs were not viable. My doctor told me in so many words that was nonsense. I also was convinced that I had a progesterone problem which was why I couldn't keep a preganancy. All my hormone level tests have come back well within the normal range.
As for my cycle:
I have a 24 day cycle and it is extremely regular. I ovulate on the tenth day. (I used to chart for several months and use an ovulation predictor kit). Now I can usually feel when I ovulate.
I bleed for three days. This has changed through the years. When I first stopped BC pills 5 years ago I was spotting nine days before my period began. I had a lap and had moderate endo burned off which reduced my spotting to 4 days. I then went to Clear Passages which reduced my spotting to two days. Then I went to acupuncture which stopped the rest of the prespotting. Currently I am using herbs and fibrovan and if I spot at all it is extremely light pink and wouldn't be noticeable if I weren't looking for it. It is for a day before my period.
I read in a book that your period should be bright pink or red without clots. My periods currently are bright to deep red but have only been so in the last two years.
I have pain for about two hours on the second day of my period. I don't have pain throughout the rest of my cycle.
Any thoughts or hypothesis would be more than welcome!

Quick question. What herbs are you currently using and at what dosage?
