Hi Tess,
This might correct itself over time Alternatively, if you begin using 60mg progesterone cream daily from CD8 to CD26, or even better from CD6, it will counteract higher oestrogen levels which are delaying ovulation and so help you to ovulate earlier, as well as lengthening the luteal phase. Within 2-3 months of doing this, periods will shorten also. I've always found this to be the case when I use the cream in this way: it's very clever. Alternatively, if you use the cream from ovulation onwards, it might lengthen the luteal phase: it's your choice.
All the best.

Hi again Tess,
Not meaning to give you the Spanish inquisition, but how much cream, on which days of the cycle and what brand are you using? Have you excluded all parabens, pesticides and other xenoestrogens from your shampoos, bath/shower products, creams and foods and make sure you don't cook food in plastic trays? If not, the cream will not be able to work properly because there will be too many xenoestrogens in the body preventing the progesterone from working.

Actually, what you are describing is almost ideal! Ovulation on cd14 and a 25-26-day cycle. As long as your luteal phase is over 10 days, you should be good to go! When you start having ovulation 40-some days out, then worry. LOL! You sound fine to me! If it stays like this... I don't see an issue, but with pain getting worse and certain days getting longer (and some shorter) with each cycle... I'm not 100% sure it'll stay that way. I have an appointment with my natural Dr this Friday, so hopefully he'll be able to look at my charts. My cycles have always been fairly normal - like clock work even! This is the first time I've actually seen it change! I mean, I know it's normal for ovulation days to change - but I've actually watched it get later and later for the past few months!! It's weird? My temps are getting higher, too!! And I've stopped dipping 3 days before I'm getting my period. This month I dropped back to 97.3 on the morning I got my period. It's just... totally abnormal for me, ya know??? As far as the cream, I was instructed to use it once a day (at night) and to use it on my thigh. I'm not sure of the brand... it was prescribed to me by my Dr. As far as taking things out - unfortunately at the current moment I'm not 100% organic - only in food. I don't really use other creams and plastic scares me. LOL. I even keep left over food in glass bowls! And after living with cats all my life... I've all of a sudden developed an allergy to them? Went to the allergy Dr and he confirmed it. What the heck!! I've had cats since...forever...? Not that has anything to do with my charts... LOL!!!!

CD 16. Cervical fluid = dry Pain = very little Ovulation = NONE.
What is going on?! I have no signs of ovulation occurring or that I'm going to ovulate! I've woken up this morning very dizzy... I'm so confused :\ I know 16 doesn't sound like a lot, but for me... it's insanely abnormal!

None at all... I've never been so happy/destressed! And really, that's never bothered me, nor effected my ovulation. When I get home on Monday (we're away, obviously! LOL), I'll convert my charts from paper to online.
I have a Drs appointment on Friday. And by totally abnormal, I mean... tomorrow is CD 18 and I usually get my period anywhere from CD 25-28, sometimes CD 23 - so I've still got like 10ish days or so. I just see my cycle changing more and more every month.

Nope...... this was happening wayyyy before I got in the car and traveled for 2 hrs. LOL. Didn't even get on a plane. Just came home to go house shopping!! This morning I woke up and temp was 97.0, which is very low for me - usually I'm at 97.3ish. I thought maybe my thermo might be broken, so I took my temp again - 96.8.
I think tonight I might go get another thermometer and see if that's the problem!

Really? Why? I didn't get a chance to buy one anyway... so, we'll see what happens tomorrow! Odd thing is, I feel like I'm about to get my period? (And no, I can't be pregnant!! Unless our protection busted.) Ouchy, I'll PM you my chart...

Its constantly up and down up and down and has been for the past 2 weeks, I have ovulation strip tests, they are always negative. Also my period hasn't arrived. I dont know whats going on. Can someone explain it to me please. One day my temp is 36.8 the next its 36.0 and so on.
Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Nuala, Did you begin charting your temperature on the first day of a period? Are you charting at the same time every morning, before you get out of bed, eat or drink? Are you using a thermometer with two decimal places (i.e. readings will be 36.60, 36.62, etc)? You need one of these (called a basal thermometer or fertility thermometer). There can be some fluctuations but it will take a few months of charting before you see what's going on with you and whether it's in the range of normal. Are you using the Fertility Friends website? The basic set-up is free and will show if you've ovulated. They also send you step-by-step tutorials to your inbox when you sign up so you do everything correctly and understand what's happening.

Thanks for your advice puddleduck.
I was using a therm. which only has 1 decimal space, so I bought a basal one, and wasn't really recording all the things I should have been, also found my therm to be faulty so no wonder my temps were going crazy ;D
I am starting my 1st correct chart this month so hopefully it will be abit different.
Also registered with fertility friends and their online course has been really helpful. Thanks again for the advice.

Hello, I've started charting my BBT and its always in the 35.4-36.0 degree range. This seems very low. I'm still waiting for my Taking Charge of your Fertility book to arrive in the post and was just wondering if anyone has a low temp too? It doesn't seem to matter if I sleep with the heating on full blast or not. Maybe my thermometer is broken?

Oh and, does it matter if I don't take your temp at exactly the same time everyday? I don't usually wake up at the same time every day. Do you think it would be a good idea to set an alarm, take my temp then go back to sleep?
