STAGE OF ENDO/PCOS:
My gynecologist only told me my endo was moderate and 'everywhere' when he performed the laparascopy 5 1/2 years ago. I've suffered since I was 11 with all the classic symptoms, missed a lot of school and a lot of life in general. As for PCOS, the symptoms have been difficult to manage, but I tend to ignore it for the most part. The only thing that makes me lose weight now is fasting, I don't even bother to get the facial hair waxed anymore because every pull makes me faint, I control the diabetes with the McDougall diet. Vitex and dong quai kept my endo symptoms to a bare minimum. For pain, I take calcium ascorbate and/or white willow bark, and magnesium.
PREGANT BY NATURAL/CLOMID/IUI/IVF:
I got pregnant naturally. My boyfriend and I had been together for about two months when I got pregnant. He has kids from previous marriages, but he wanted more. We talked about marriage, but I warned him that I may never be able to have a baby. It never happened before, though I never really tried before. But I figured with endo and PCOS and being almost 30 years old, it would be at least very difficult. Stopped taking my dong quai and a couple weeks later, I got pregnant.
HOW LONG TTC AFTER ENDO:
I've had endo for 16 years. Never been pregnant till now. But it started really improving when I started going to a NHAA certified naturopath in March of 2006. That's probably the more valuable time frame because that was when it all changed for me. Instead of trying to just manage pain and fatigue all the time, I was managing endo. I've moved away from my naturopath, so I'm unable to get his herbal concoction. I still take my vitex and was continuing dong quai as well, but the other additional herbs in their low dosage helped just as much. I got pregnant 1 1/4 years later.
