;D Hello there ladies. I was wondering if anyone has a story about how they conceived while having endo. We have been trying and although I am trying to just forget about it and stop stressing I was just wondering if anyone had a story. How long it took and what worked in the end. I should be able to fall pregnant. My ovaries looked good and my tubes are open, and have eggs maturing the works. Just not happening. Not stressed though cos I've decided that its in God's hands and I'm just enjoying being a newly wed at da mo. My problem is that I have a family where falling preggs is usually a mistake! Even in my husbands family. They all fell preg within a month of trying, or literally just fell pregs without trying. So they are all looking at us funny. who knows maybe we are doing something wrong. My doc did tell me that I have a very small cervix...could this be affecting the process? He gave us six months, that ends next month...he seemed hopeful and so were we. So anyway, please some stories and tips? Taking pregnant vitamins with folic acid...heard that might help? Thanks again for all the care and to everyone else out there ttc - all the best...put it in God's hands - he really does know the bigger plan.

Hi! My gyne. also told me that I have a small cervix. This won't lead to inhibiting you from becoming pregnant, but you might have a problem with dilating enough to pop out a baby naturally. I'll probably have to have a C-section. Have you tried using OPK's (ovulation prediction kits/LH strips)? They'll tell you when you're fertile by detecting LH (leutenizing hormone) in your urine. You just pee in a cup, dip the strip (or buy the more expensive ones where you pee on the stick), and wait a couple minutes to see whether or not the test line is darker than the control line. If the line is darker, you'll most likely ovulate in 12-48 hours! ...and also, if sex is painful, you don't have to suffer at a time during the month when you're not fertile! I buy mine from a medical fertility supplier on eBay 50 of them at a time for 17.99....he also sells combination packs of OPK's and Pregnancy tests If you want more info, let me know!

Thanks Ouchy, you've told me a couple of times about the OPK's, but my hubby is against them, says that we should be trying this naturally. So I went to a local store and found some but they are R145 for 5 of them! That is very expensive and just not the kind of money I have to try. It says that it is one months worth! My period just started today! I'm well unchuffed...again. eBay...that's something I haven't tried mainly because we are in SA, I will go look on bid or buy, out local one. might find them there...actually i suppose R200 a month isn't so bad if increases your chances? Thanks for always being there. You have all this energy and input into so many people's lives, hope i can return the favour one day.

Hi, Lauren. Sorry that he is against them. Have you tried telling him that it just detects your "natural" hormones? I checked the guy who sells the OPK's website, and he charges USD $5.99 to send anywhere outside of the U.S.A. and Canada. Are you monitoring your cervical fluid, cervical position, and cervical texture? That can give you clues to ovulation and also taking your temperature. That is I guess more "natural" than detecting the hormone in your urine!
No need to thank me for anything! I just wish they would have had a site like this back in the day!!!! I'm glad this site has become so popular! We are getting soooo much feedback on such a wide array of topics each day!!! And new members are added like crazy! Take care, and baby dust to you!!!!! Hugs! ~ouchy

:)Hello there, me again...looking on eBay. I am starting to get concerned about something...I know that a heavy menstrual cycle is quite common with endo, and mine always has been but for the past three months they have been very light. (which made me hopeful- but it didn't turn out that way) I used to be on for 5-7 days, starting heavy and then tapering off. Now I have a slightly discoloured discharge for two days and then 1 day of bleeding on and off. So not spotting, but not really bleeding either. And then that is it. Had a spotting today..and that's it. A one day period. This is how it has been for three months and last month I wanted to have my hormones tested. So I went to a GP who told me I was depressed. I called my guyni today and he told me that I should go to have my hormones tested! He has given me a colleague's name. I've been trying to read a little on the net, but all I have found is thyroid problems associated with lighter periods and of course premenopausal...I know my thyroid is functioning perfectly as the GP did blood work last month? And I'm def way too young to be hitting the change. So I was wondering if anyone has any information for me...any advice would be appreciated. I just worry that now my hormones are out of sync. It should be easy to treat? I'm just tired of all this...I just want my baby and I don't want this negativity now. Guess I'm just looking for support. Thanks.

Totally have your hormones checked! That is your best bet. If you are having really light periods, it may be that your endometrium is too thin. From what I have read, baby aspirin sometimes helps that...but I don't know much about it.

I had very light periods until after my laparoscopy. I had a ton of pain but I only bled half a day then a tiny bit of spotting for two more days. My dr said it was all fine. I do have a son that was conceived naturally. I bleed heavy now which is weird but again they said it is fine. I do know my hormones are very sensitive which is why hormonal bc is so hard on my system. I'd have it checked if thats what the dr suggests. Good luck to you

well I was told that I more than likely was going to have to see a fertilty specialst but, I was very fortunate and got pregnant right away, literally like one of the first times we tried. I asked everone for ideas and the things we did were: no really hot showers for my husband and no sit down baths b/c it lowers a guys sperm count, loose fitting underwear for him also, and after we were done i layed on my back, feet in the air w/ pillows under my butt for like 20 mins. it sounds crazy but, hey I was willing to try anything and it worked! Another thing I credit to is my mother and sister got me a prayer cloth and I slept w/ it on my stomache like you said when it comes down to it it's in gods hands! I will keep you in my prayers:)

Hey Tisha, I don't really have advise for you except to listen to your body, trust in God's perfect plan and to keep hope alive. I know that fear very well. It is something terrible to deal with and feels like your heart is being ripped out...sending a big hug to you and letting you know that I will pray for you and will always be here if you need to chat.
