Well at least you know the source of why you haven't been able to get pregnant. It will take some time to get his body back to functioning again. Just like coming off lupron, it takes time for things to normalize. Maybe this break will be a nice refresher from all the stress and worry. I totally agree with you that you should first try to have a biological child. You're doing the best you can and that's all you can really do. I think your plan to try for a few years is a good plan. Then if you don't get pregnant, you can re-address your options then. I guess just take this "break" as a brief moment to de-stress and enjoy other things for a while. I have a feeling things will get better. It's just the waiting game that sucks. Hang in there Tiger.

He has been off the shots since Jan 20th. In the meantime, until we get pregnant, he can't treat his low tesestrone. And if he can't have sex, we can't conceive. He surprised me 2 days ago, when he initiated, and was able to perform with no problems. Was shocked after he has been off them for 6 weeks. I suggested clomid for men and for some reason his urologist won't put him on anything. He is taking multivitamin for men and fertility blend for men. Think his main issue is stress. I will try to get him to relax. And not put any pressure on him, and be as loving and supportive as I can. Does endo always grow back? I am thinking positive that I may be one of the rare women that never get it again. My endo was only contained on my left side and that ovary is now gone. My right side was endo free and normal.

I think we sometimes underestimate the feelings the hubby goes through in situations like that. Having our own body issues to deal with gets a little distracting. I tend to think everything happens for a reason and maybe this "break" will be the best few months you have ever had as a couple. The fact that he was able to enjoy himself while you had time together says a lot. So I know it totally sucks right now, but think of it as an extra honeymoon period and pamper yourselves a LOT!!

On a 3 month break of ttc. Husband has now been off the tesestrone for over 7 weeks now. I seen an improvement in his sex drive. He has been initiating and been able to perform with no difficulty. Maybe because he is no longer under pressure or his natural T is coming back. Only thing we done differently is vitamins and he is on fertility blend for men. We will do another sperm test mid May. If it is normal, we will try ttc again. And will prob get back on clomid. I am now on progesterone as well as mine was low at only 8.1 on clomid. And always have breakthrough bleeding 7 dpo.

We just did another sperm test today and the urologist gave us the results right there in his office in only about 5 min. He said count was between 30-40 million and they were all swimming and looked good! We went from zero to a normal count in only 3 months. only thing we did was fertility blend for men. So I got my prescription refilled for Clomid and start it tomorrow. Ready for AF to finally stop and ready to start trying again. ready to break out my ovulation kit again and hope to see that smiley face again! Hopefully we can get a BFP by the end of the summer. my 36th birthday is on the 25th of this month. just hope my endo isn't growing back to hinder things further. I been having no signs at all that it is back. I will also have to use provera 10 mg because of my low progesterone.

I took my clomid pill just now. it is 50 mg from cycle days 5-9. twice daily. do I take both doses at the same time? Or do I wait to take my second pill at bedtime? and last time I took clomid which was in February. I only took it once a day, not twice. and my gyno is out the office til Monday. the doctor on duty yesterday took over and refilled my prescription for me.

Tiger - none us here are medical professionals - I think you're best directing that question to your doctor next week.

went in for my 10 day cycle day clomid ultrasound. He saw nothing, no follicles! only a few cysts but didn't seem concerned about them. I left in tears. He said just because the clomid worked in February doesn't mean it will work this month. but I told him that cycle day 10 might have been too early! When I was on in February, I did clomid cycle days 3-7 at 50 mg only once a day. I didn't go in to cycle day 11 which showed a follicle. but I didn't get a positive smiley face on the okpd til Cycle day 15. and it showed 3 days in a row til cycle day 18. So prob didn't ovulate til cd 19 or 20. I normally had a 33 day cycle and I read that clomid can push back ovulation. So he is going to another ultrasound on Monday free of charge, to see if there is any change. I took Clomid differently this month than in February. I took it in cd 5-9. 50 mg twice a day. So don't know if that makes any difference. Despite me liking my doctor and that he has been in practice well over 30 years, sometimes I think I have more knowledge than him. He doesn't specialize in infertility, he is just a regular obgyn. I am getting frustrated, so we are going to give it to September. if nothing changes, we are going to go to the fertility clinic an hour away in Metairie. and look at other options.

Most fertility clinics appointments are booked pretty far in advance. How about working on an appointment now and if you don't need it all the better. That way you aren't waiting in frustration from sept. to how ever long it takes to get an appointment. Between yours and your husband you definitely should be dealing with a specialist not a regular Gyno and that way you have that ready to go. Good Luck!

Thanks, I already called them. They said that don't set up appointments til 3 weeks in advance. That they would find a way to put me in. Everything will have to be paid in full out of pocket. It is $215 for the first appointment.

UPDATE: went in for another ultrasound yesterday. CD 17. They saw 2 dominent follicles getting really ripe. and a few smaller one. He said it is possible I may release 2 eggs at once this cycle. and asked how I felt about twins. I said I would be okay with it. When you been longing this long to be a mom, you will be happy whatever the good Lord blesses you with. As long as the baby or babies are healthy. He told me to go home and test ovulation. if negative, come straight back to his office for a trigger shot. went home, tested on my clearblue easy. no smiley face, so negative. So went back to his office and got the shot. We babydanced last night about 10. So 6 hours after the shot. and we are going to try to babydance again tonight when he is off work. just having some indigestion and a little upset stomach from the shots. just hoping I can post a BFP soon, but don't want to get my hopes up too much. my 36th birthday is this Monday, and what a great birthday present that would be. (Of course, I wouldn't know anything that early, but conception would take place around my birthday, if that were to happen.)

My progesterone came back 13.20 at only 3 dpo. So ovulated on June 23rd. I took a pregnancy test on first response 11 dpo. BFN. I am on cd 32 and 13 dpo. No sign of AF. But lightly cramping. I always spot before AF this time there is none. And it has been 6 days since my last Provera pill. Has anyone had a BFN at 11 dpo and went to get a BFP later.
