Hi Everyone, I am 27 years old located in New Jersey and having a really difficult time with my Endometriosis I am looking for any kind of support anyone may have, helpful hints or advice.. anything you have to offer ill take it. I had my first laproscopy in September of 2015 to have a endometromia (chocolate cyst) removed, and i also had endometriosis spots laser away.... ever since this surgery my pain has gotten progressively worse. I have cramps 24/7 and I am still getting a period every month the same time each month even though I am on birth control intentionally to stop my period and ovulation!!! but it is not working... and i am still in pain I am also taking letrozole 2.5 mg because my doctor thinks this will help but its not.... any ideas of what birth control i should take? I am not supposed to take it even because history of migraines and anxiety but my neurologist told me the endo is more significant to treat at this point and treat the migraines with medicine as they come. its really effecting my quality of life, i am seeing pain management as well because no other doctor will address the fact that i am having chronic pain all the time... its hard to sleep, it hard to get up and go to work its hard to do anything!!! I recently had a MRI of my back which also showed numerous herniation in my thoracic spine and 3 compression fractures which was from a injury in 2010 when i fell off a horse so the pain from this can also be radiating to the front as well........... if anyone knows of a good doctor to treat endo in my area please tell me or any other treatments that have been successful for you.. thank you!!!

Hi, welcome to the group.
I am sorry to hear you're having a difficult time. I am not from your area, so I can't help with a doctor recommendation, although I can sympathize. I have found it hard to find good doctors. Your surgery was not that long ago, did you find that the incisions and muscles healed well? I took serrapeptase enzymes after my surgery, and that helped me, and I continued taking it for a year. I also have changed my diet to remove things that trigger hormones, like dairy, flax, soy, etc. That has helped my periods, pain-wise. There are many good ideas on the site here for diet changes. I think that when injured, one needs to treat themselves with care and love, so I did a lot of self-work with therapy and hypnosis, and I found help there. Living with chronic pain can cause a lot of emotional scarring, and sometimes the feeling of suffering alone can be harsh. I found on this group, and in my other support groups, a way of connecting with others, and that helped a lot. Hopefully another person can suggest a doctor nearby, but I thought I should reply to your post and maybe help in some small way.
