Sorry, TMI warning! I had a lap done a couple years ago and found out I had severe endo. Since then I have been trying to manage it naturally to try and avoid another surgery. Over the last few months I've had a lot of bloody bowel movements, usually only while I'm on my period. It's not just a little when I wipe, the toilet is filled with blood and I can see the stool looks bloody. Sometimes it feels like clots may even be coming out.
I've tried to do some research on this and it sounds like the endo could be inside my bowels now and causing this bleeding...does anyone else have experience with this? I'm still going regularly and haven't had any sort of blockage...I'm just not sure if this is something really serious that I need to be worried about.
Thanks for any advice!

Hi,
Endo can end up in many different places in the body, but I'd suggest getting a doctor to check it out anyways, as ruling out other harmful issues can be beneficial. I don't want to be scary or anything, but some cancers of the digestive system present initially as bloody stool, so that's why it's something that can be good to get a doctor looking at.

Thanks for the info - just wanted to update in case anyone else had this issue and was wondering...turns out my endo is all back and very severe, it's invaded through my colon and vaginal wall. I started seeing an endo specialist and he did a lap a few weeks ago but couldn't do much at the time bc of how severe everything was. So we're going to schedule a laparotomy in a few months with a whole team of other doctors, including a colorectal surgeon to get everything taken care of.
