I did some googling and, unfortunately, everything is always worse for women's health. Target, Walmart, and Walgreens all over cheap generic birth control, but it is only two types: ortho tricyclen and ortho tricyclen lo. They cost $9 a month or $8 for three months ( go figure). I know that is different than what you have been prescribed, but it might be worth checking out. Maybe you can call your doctor to ask her and see if one of those would work for you? She may be able to consult you over the phone without having to pay for a visit. So sorry for this. Health care is so tough in this country. Lol. It figures that the meds they offer for cheap is the same bc that made me bleed way too heavy and made me feel like hanging myself. Ortho is def out

Have you looked to see if the maker of your birth control offers financial assistance? Some have programs for those who can't afford it but a lot of people don't apply. Also, would a non-profit women's center like Planned Parenthood be able to help? Trying to get all this covered often feels like a full-time job, unfortunately.

Ortho was horrible for me too--had the same problem. I'm so sorry! Try planned parenthood--they can be really helpful.

That sounds like a good idea. I will def have to look into that. And I plan on calling Planned Parenthood on Monday to ask a few questions. I hope you are doing well

I think Ortho has got to be one of the worst meds I have ever been on besides Accutane. I hope Planned Parenthood can give me some advice and helpful resources for something. I would like the surgery but I don't see that as a possibility, plus I would probably freak just before I had it lol. The thought pf general anesthesia scares me to death!
