www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/natural/patient-pycnogenol.htmlThis is another article giving details of drug interactions with Pycnogenol. Another article I encountered states at the very bottom (after much evidence of its effectiveness for a variety of conditions, that: "Individuals who have autoimmune conditions should not take pine bark extract due to its effects on the immune system. Some autoimmune conditions include Crohn's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Psoriasis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, Type 1 diabetes, etc. Because it can enhance immune system function, pine bark extract may interfere with the effects of drugs used to suppress the immune system".

I got an email from my Naturopath asking how i'm doing (i haven't been to see her for awhile, oops!) and this is what she had to say about Pine Bark, i asked her to look into it because she hadn't heard of it before.
"I also got around to investigating French maritime pine bark and found that it isn't easily available here (West Australia) and I'm not sure that is TGA (Therapeutic Goods Act) approved. Anyway, it is apparently a strong antioxidant which is its primary action and benefit."

Hi, I just wanted to let anyone who is interested know that I started taking the pine bark extract (50 mg. 2 x a day) about 2 and 1/2 months ago and am noticing reduced pain and symptoms.
I'm trying to not get too excited and hopeful that this could be a "cure", but the last two cycles have been increasingly easy, and I'm on my third cycle and third bottle of pine bark, and so far-though I'm having pain and abdominal symptoms, they are not nearly so bad as they were. Hope this info helps anyone who needs it- happy holidays, Fern

Yes please ladies, could you give us some follow-up since Fern last reported. Are there any other persons out there taking it, what has been the result and how long have you been on it. I, like Angel is now thinking of going on it. I have already changed my diet based on the information on this site (endo-resolved), am exercising, taking Vitamins B12, E and Omega 3 with cod liver oil. I expect AF to come on Sunday and I have had none of the symptoms of cramps, ovary pains, irritability or pain in my womb as if it is being ripped through my vagina. Waiting to see what actual AF brings!
Please holla at us GFs if you know any who has taken the pine bark or is on it and has seen improvements in condition or has become preggers!
Health and Joy to all. Erica

I have tried Pycnogenol (Pine Bark). I got it at a local health-food store, Campbell's Nutrition. I saw an article about it in Women's Health and decided to give it a try. I only use it when I have cramping, not every day. It does help reduce my pain and I have not noticed any side-effects.

So I thought I would go out today and buy some Pcynogenol and give it a try. I used to work in a health food store and I know it's expensive but if it helps it will be so worth it.
Is there anyone who is still using it or any recent feedback.
I will try it either way and post when I see how it has worked for me.
I'm so thankful that I found this message board. It truly is awesome!
